I think Docker opens up a lot of ways to repurpose an old phone and turn it into a home server. The advantage over using something like RPi is that you have a touchscreen built in, making it much easier to troubleshoot without having to plug in a monitor and a keyboard.
Given how abundant old phones are, seems like it would be cool to have an Android distro specifically designed for this use case. Especially if you could plug in a USB hub for stuff like external storage.

I have warned about this with respect to these numbers before, and I'm going to warn about them again: you really can't trust the employment numbers right now. The amount of downward revisions in the past 2 years is absurd, including one 800,000 job downward revision prior to the election. It's entirely possible and even probable that these numbers will be revised further downwards.
What I actually expect is for a lot of numbers to keep looking better than they really are until about January 20th. And then suddenly a whole bunch of stuff is going to end up looking the way it really is...

in reply to RotatingParts • • •Since i bought my ink tank Brother over a year ago, i still haven't had to refill it. For my previous Canon Pixma it would have been at least 2-3 cartridges. I mean i don't print a lot, but I'm amazed at how much I've been printing with this thing.
Once it runs out, actually Brother original ink doesn't come that much pricier than unbranded, but I'll see my choices.
