If you read the article, he's not accusing Biden of anything.
He's saying that Biden wasn't behind the things he PREVIOUSLY was railing on him over (the border specifically) and saying his team and advisors "took over" the presidency behind the scenes, and it was their agenda that they snuck behind Biden's back because they knew he was too sick to notice.
So, I agree every accusation is an admission, but it's important to actually read the accusations so you know what Trump is admitting to: in this case it's being old and senile and his administration is taking advantage of him and are pushing their own agendas behind his old and senile back.

That would be shortsighted. Religious though has been on the decline for centuries. Driving it underground and radicalizing it just empowers the bad actors.
Germany handles religion in a fine way. Kirchensteuer is a tax you pay directly out of your paycheck to your registered church. You can opt out of paying this tax by dropping your church registration. If this system was adopted in the US you would see far less people who identify as "religious".

It was indeed a joke. Appian is a "low/no-code" platform (that surprisingly requires quite a bit of code) used to build shitty customer service workflows. It is tailored for non-technical people and sold as a cost effective solution to clueless executives. It is the kind of software solution that body shops like infosys, accenture, etc love because they can load up lots of low skill people on the project (but charge the client as if they were higher skilled). The result of this arrangement is mediocre at best. Additional changes or scope creep drags out these kinds of projects. Because the system was built with low-skill there aren't the same considerations given for readability, extensibility and all of the other good software development practices that enable future velocity. Again, another win for the body shops as they can't deliver the changes the client wants fast enough. So now there is this parasitic body shop attached at your company's hip after Appian is deeply ingrained into your business processes. It is exactly the kind of penny-wise, pound foolish thinking ("I can hire lots of non-engineers for one engineers salary!") that ends up costing way more in the long run.
TL;DR: Appian is a wage suppression grift.

Across Africa, debates about cultural preservation and traditional values are increasingly being influenced by forces that promote conservative social agendas rooted in colonial and missionary legacies. These movements, often backed by generous Western funding, seek to impose rigid, exclusionary values that contradict the continent’s diverse and historically dynamic cultures.
A recent example of this dynamic played out last week in Nairobi, where the second Pan-African Conference on Family Values organised by the Africa Christian Professionals Forum sparked controversy by claiming to defend “traditional” African family values.
The event’s foreign supporters, including the Center for Family and Human Rights (C-Fam) and Family Watch International, are known for their opposition to LGBTQ rights, reproductive health, and comprehensive sex education.
These organisations, some classified as hate groups by the United States-based Southern Poverty Law Center, often present their positions as inherently African, despite their deep connections to Western conservative funding.
This duplicity came to the fore ahead of the conference in Nairobi when it was revealed that the preliminary list of speakers consisted entirely of white men.
During the event, participants were urged to “resist growing trends that seek to redefine marriage, weaken the institution of family, or devalue human sexuality” and to rise up to defend the African family from a “new colonialism”.
Yet the fact is that the narrative of preserving tradition that was on full display at the conference is far from organic. Instead, it itself continues a pattern established during the colonial era, when imperial powers imposed patriarchal norms and strict social hierarchies under the guise of paradoxically both preserving and “civilising” indigenous cultures.
In doing so, missionary and colonial institutions both reimagined and reframed African social structures to align with Victorian ideals, embedding rigid gender roles and heteronormative family models into the social fabric and inventing supposedly ancient and unchanging “traditions” to support them.
The latter were themselves built on self-serving ideas of Africans as “noble savages”, living in happy conformity with supposedly “natural” values, trapped by petrified “culture”, and undisturbed by the moral questions that plagued their civilised Western counterparts from whose corruption they needed to be protected...

There is a very brief and almost an noticeable sweet spot in the 18th century, when the British empire suddenly banned slavery (and the slave trade) and decided to try to enforce it for a little while throughout the Mediterranean and the entire Atlantic. It didn’t go well.
It’s an interesting little slice of history if you care to read about it.

I've always done 20% because it is easier back when 15% was the norm and in the vast majority of cases it was less than $1 difference. You are right that there is no reason to increase the percentage when the prices are rising anyway.
Also, basing the tip on the food cost is a stupid system in the first place. The waitress at the diner where a meal costs $10 is doing just as much work as the one at the high end restaurant that charges $50.
You theoretically could make the cash tips just disappear. The computer where I work guesses based on a rolling average of your card tips and it's usually pretty close. Which suggests to me that if anyone went snooping they could key in to the statistical anomaly of your curiously low cash tips rather easily. At the end of the day you're rolling the dice.
Personally I do report, partially because I don't want to piss off the IRS if they ever do take an interest in me but mostly because I don't qualify for housing assistance even without reporting them and nobody will rent to me unless I do report them because, get this, I don't earn an extra $3 for every $1 the rent goes up, especially not in wages. I am actually kind of jealous of apparently everyone else in the industry who somehow get approved for apartments despite making half of what they're supposed to on paper

Foreign diplomats come under Israeli fire on official West Bank visit
The Israeli military fired warning shots at a large delegation of European and Arab diplomats on an official visit to the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday, drawing swift condemnation.
Delegations from more than 20 countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Canada and others, were on an official mission to see the humanitarian situation in the besieged camp, according to the Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which called the incident a “deliberate and unlawful act.”
Videos on social media show delegation members giving media interviews when shots are heard ringing out close to the group and forcing it to run for cover.

In an ideal world yes, but we're talking about an extremist government that has some of the world's heaviest weapons as well as nukes. And given their decades long bleating like sheep about how they're the victims they will no doubt burn the world before that happens.
I'd love nothing more than to have a court order the two populations to swap places, to see how they like living in an open air prison. I mentioned sanctions because they are the only realistic option at the moment.
Back in the 1930's France and the UK said "this goes too far" and they declared war on nazi Germany because they were tyrants. And that was before they started to ship jews and other minorities to concentration camps, and before they committed horrible war crimes. Israel already showed their true colors, by committing horrible war crimes and crimes against humanity. And not just since the invasion, for years Israel has been the only country with apartheid, conducting illegal annexation of Palestinian territories.
So the fact we, the west, haven't denounced the Israeli Nazi regime and their war crimes and are still actively supporting them by supplying them with weapons and spare parts is beyond any logical comprehension.
During the war in Syria the west denounced the use of chemical weapons by Assad and Russia, while being proud we all together are better than that and uphold a higher standard. I'm disgusted by the fact this has all been lies, as we are just as inhumane and crual but are too blinded by money and power to see that. Ignorance is a bliss I guess. But it's at the cost of thousands of innocent people, including many children.
We shouldn't be supporting or denouncing nations, but actions. Even though Israel is a friendly nation, we shouldn't close our eyes for the otrocities committed by our so called friend.

It’s been eight years since my last visit, which was the first time Donald J. Trump was inaugurated as president and vowed to fill Guantánamo up with “bad dudes.” The prison population at that time was forty-one, and he didn’t end up sending anyone here during his first term. The Joe Biden administration reduced the number further, so that today just fifteen “War on Terror” captives remain (nine of the 780 detainees died while in custody, and others were repatriated or resettled in third countries). This dwindling population is being held in the world’s most expensive detention centre. Everything at this remote base, from water bottles to Humvees, must be shipped or flown in. According to 2019 estimates from the New York Times, the cost works out to about $36 million (US) per year per prisoner.
THERE HAVE BEEN small changes since my last visit in 2017. The four windmills that the navy spent $12 million (US) on to power about a quarter of the base stopped turning more than a year ago, and now there’s only one radome on the hill (those large golf balls for electronic surveillance) instead of two. Israeli soldiers fire near diplomats on visit to occupied West Bank
The Israeli military said that it fired near a diplomatic delegation which it said deviated from an approved route in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday.
Diplomatic sources said European diplomats were part of the delegation to the West Bank city of Jenin.
The military said "the delegation deviated from the approved route and entered an area where they were not authorised to be" and that soldiers fired "warning shots to distance them away."
The Palestinian Authority's Foreign Ministry said "the delegation was undertaking an official mission to observe and assess the humanitarian situation and document the ongoing violations perpetrated by" Israel. The ministry called the Israeli military's actions a violation of international law.
