Gaza was called a graveyard for children last year. It’s always been genocide.

“Aid lorries are still stuck at the Karem Abu Salem crossing.”"

Graduates Boo Columbia’s President at Commencement After a Fraught Year

May 21, 2025 Updated 4:08 p.m. ET

"The celebrations at smaller graduation ceremonies on Tuesday were also punctuated by anger directed at Columbia administrators. At the graduation for Columbia College, the university’s main undergraduate school, some students repeatedly interrupted Ms. Shipman’s remarks with loud jeers. At one point, they chanted “Free Mahmoud.”"

Graduates Boo Columbia’s President at Commencement After a Fraught Year

Just get the Eurovision producers to come in and touch up the audio a bit...

in reply to MuskyMelon

What blows my mind is that the obvious market manipulation will continue to work. The market plunged today, but it will be back up again as soon as Trump announces another tariff pause.
in reply to Tikiporch

Not all of them. Some tariffs are in place, others temporarily paused. It's a very intentional mess.
in reply to Tikiporch

The old ones were. He announced a new 50% tariff against the EU this morning. Likely because he's tantruming about Greenland signing a mining deal with the EU - which were the resources he wanted to steal

Personal profit gets in the way of understanding.

Ahead of Wednesday’s visit, South African government leaders were preparing to offer a workaround plan that would allow Musk’s venture to operate in South Africa. The gesture was viewed as an attempt to generate goodwill with the US administration before the talks began.
It seemed to do little to smooth things over. And when the Oval Office spectacle was underway, Trump seemed uninterested in giving Musk a speaking role.
“Elon’s from South Africa, and I don’t want to talk to him about that,” he said. “I don’t think it’s fair to him.”

Let this be the end of workarounds, exceptions and visits.

in reply to MuskyMelon

Maybe they thought that the Zelensky ambush was a big success, so thought that a second would be a good idea.

in reply to MuskyMelon

He's just salty because he's been replaced by an even bigger dolt, Laura Loomer. He should have given more enthusiastic blowjobs.

Listen, reposting this is just annoying the people whose eyes and ears you are clearly trying to target. We get it, it’s a horrible situation, but astroturfing every fu king platform with the same exact story, over and over isn’t getting you any points.

You know…. now that you mention it. Why didn’t the empire launch an orbital bombardment on Hoth. Or at the very least land artillery to shell the trenches? Plus they totally had the Tie fighters to run interference on the evacuation since planetary space was uncontested.
in reply to Trimatrix

They didn’t know the location of the ice base at first, once they found it and the walkers blew up the shield generators Vader should have just turned the whole area into a smoking crater and watched from the comfort of his ship.

in reply to Trimatrix

Hoth had Orbital bombardment shields, they needed to assault on foot to take out the generators. By that point, the base had evacuated, so why waste resources destroying the base? Probably took it over afterwards and scanned through data and whatnot

Trump’s Deportations to South Sudan Are More Twisted Than They Seem

Immigrants’ attorneys say they were told they were being deported to South Sudan. But Trump’s lawyers won’t say where the plane is—claiming everything is classified.

in reply to Gsus4

Trump's lawyers "claiming that no court order was violated because the man wasn’t afraid of deportation."

These are some of the dumbest things I've ever heard from a government attorney. (Insert Homer Simpson 'so far' meme).

Justice Department ends police reform agreements and halts investigations into major departments | CNN Politics

"CNN —

The Trump administration is moving to dismiss federal oversight agreements in Louisville and Minneapolis reached following the fatal shooting of Breonna Taylor and police killing of George Floyd, and dropping investigations into several major US police departments."

in reply to jordanlund

Looks like the Minneapolis police department was wrestled into a consent decree with the state too, so they won't get to go back to choking people to death without any pushback.

And I heard some people complain binding them up in duplicate was a waste of tax dollars.

Sean Duffy Sold Stocks Days Before Trump Announced a Plan for Reciprocal Tariffs

in reply to inclementimmigrant

Of course he did. To my knowledge, no elected representative has faced real penalties for what a reasonable person would call insider trading.

Just look at Pelosi, Feinstein, Burr, Loeffler, Taylor Greene, et al.

I considered myself a Democrat, because that all they was really, until progressives really started coming around two decades ago.

His Majesty's Government has upped the stakes from "wink & nod" by adding "serious finger wagging" and being a bit more discrete on the "wink & nod"!

Hard to imagine it getting more unparalleled than it already is. Like will it beat the stock market bullshit they just pulled on “liberation day”?
