Democrats Return Henry Cuellar to Powerful Spending Post After Trump Pardon
President Donald Trump granted Cuellar clemency in a surprise move last week, saying the Texas Democrat was targeted for speaking out against some of President Joe Biden’s policies, including his immigration agenda.
...
“Listen, the reality is this indictment was very thin to begin with, in my view,” Jeffries said. “The charges were eventually going to be dismissed, if not at the trial court level, by the Supreme Court, as they’ve repeatedly done in instances just like this.”

New Israeli barrier will slice through precious West Bank farmland
Sat 13 Dec 2025 02.00 EST
The death knell for the Palestinian village of Atouf, on the western slopes of the Jordan valley, arrived in the form of a trail of paper, a series of eviction notices taped to homes, greenhouses and wells, marking a straight line across the open fields. The notices, which appeared overnight, informed the local farmers that their land would be confiscated and that they had seven days from the date of their delivery, 4 December, to vacate their properties. A military road and accompanying barrier was to be built by Israel right through the area.
Lawyers for the Atouf village council have lodged an appeal, but long and bitter experience has taught Palestinians here to have low expectations of Israeli courts.

They're doing the exact opposite. If they dump them all at once people will be overwhelmed by the volume and interest will wane well before the midterms.
It makes no sense whatsoever to accuse them of wanting us to shut up about it. Literally none. If anything, just dumping all at once would be doing that, not gradually releasing them which is what actually keeps it in people's minds.
Literally any excuse to blame Democrats for everything around here. Why would they want people to shup up about it?

Pretty sure they included the toys in the pics to show that there were definitely signs of sexual activity occurring.
Like it wasn’t some like ancillary thing people happened to do there - they primed this place to be a sex dungeon.
Which also, is fine except for all the evidence of underage girls being raped there

EU backs indefinite freeze on Russia's frozen cash ahead of big loan plan for Ukraine

As for the concern about markets, I think it’s exaggerated. Nobody in their right mind is expecting to keep their assets in foreign banks if they pursue a war of agression.

What's up with all the glasses here, he's wearing a pair, has a pair by his hands and three on lanyards in an ashtray. Did he not have bifocals or something
I have bifocals for distance and close up, but the close up is annoying for a monitor, I have to look through the bottom of the lenses meaning tilting my head to see the screen clearly.
I need one pair strictly for the monitor which also has blue light blocking capability. Those are probably the ones in his hand.
As far as the glasses in lanyards go... I dunno. Maybe for visitors who need to read a document who forgot their own reading glasses?
Interesting how Clinton was included in these, almost as if they wanted to blunt the impact for Taco.
Guess what? Don't give a FUCK. Go after Clinton if it warrants it, I don't have a dog in that hunt. But he's not holding office right now. Pedonald IS. Make him the priority.
And so on for others named in these headlines and stories. I don't give a fuck about Gates, either....not the priority here, but I also don't give a fuck if he's eventually investigated, too.

I think the most important takeaway here is that for those of us in the imperial core, the urgency has never been greater to understand the architecture of power and find the weaknesses in its ediface.
The opportunity (and associated responsibility) to pursue shared liberation is greatest for each of us on in America and Europe.
Divest everything. City governments, schools, business, whatever. My city -- Oakland -- has had great success at this. And each institution that joins the efforts is another crack that will eventually bring end the occupation. We can do it this decade!
We have to have hope enough for ourselves and those with far fewer options.

If you or I (I'm assuming you're not a politician since you mentioned corruption) laundered even $10,000 through shell companies we would get 10 to 20 years in prison and fines of double the amount laundered. And can't own or operate LLCs again.
But when fucks in suits do it they get pardoned and hired back. I bet his wife got to keep those companies too.

I actually had my bank accounts frozen because I miscalculated a quarterly tax payment by 2 dollars equivalent in local currency. Had to ask my family members to pay because all my money was frozen.
I will add that corruption isn't unique to the US of course. I am from Ukraine and it's actually what I hate most about my country, how people don't pay taxes and come up with dumb excuses like "well the oligarchs are stealing, we should start at the top first". That being said, at least people here recognize that corruption is wrong and that there is no real way forward without addressing it.
Considering that this fellow was reinstated by the Democrats, it means they don't really feel any pressure from the public.
This is not a recent thing either. I was living in the US in the late 2000s and I thought it was interesting how Obama decided to simply not prosecute the financial services oligarchs gangs after the great recession. One would think this is a historical opportunity to make them take res
