If the noise will interrupt daytime work they will. Or if its close to the deadline and the GC is going to owe a ton of money for being late. Or they have to do some core drills above an occupied floor.

The rare part would be alone and not part of a crew, and more telling, being near the front desk. Construction in a building with a front desk is usually forced to go through the freight entrance only.

in reply to robocall

My route to where I volunteer at keeps getting blocked at night by construction. Guess they decided night time was the best time to repave the roads? There is the same amount of traffic at both times

Advokat utesluten ur advokatsamfundet. Mycket omfattande kontakter med en klient och med dennes hustru, som innebar att advokaten inte upprätthöll sitt oberoende, har tillsammans med andra överträdelser av god advokatsed utgjort grund för uteslutning ur Advokatsamfundet.

GitHub can you shut down this repo? ahaha 🤣 🤣 🤪
in reply to Jay🚩

From the repository which has some "See here" and no hyperlinks, is this a mirror or what? That'd explain so many claims and no proof to back it up, just point fingers but don't make your case:

Linus Torvalds has been sold out to big tech companies like Google and Microsoft. He himself is a billionaire and no longer writes any code.

Since when he became billionaire? Explain more on:

Linus Torvalds has been sold out to big tech companies like Google and Microsoft.

It looks like more lack of understanding of licenses if you are talking about some of their employees being involved in the kernel development.

Many people, including myself, are very unhappy with his decisions, like the removal of several Russian developers from kernel maintainership status.

Many people like how much? Also lacking references.

since Rust language developers and Rust foundations are very hostile to Russia and China

Also heavy claim and no reference to back it up.

Israel Launches Airstrikes on Iran in Fresh Escalation

in reply to Alsephina

I'm kind of confused about exactly how this could escalate further, given that there are at least two countries between Iran and Israel. Israel isn't going to send ground forces into Iran, and vice versa. And I'm doubtful that as bad as Israel is, they would nuke Iran. Where could it go beyond intermittently bombing each other?
in reply to Anamnesis

It all depends on American troop involvement. Israel cannot do anything by itself. It is trying to make America attack Iran for it.
in reply to Anamnesis

Israel's plan has always been to start the war then have the US fight it for them. Because they wouldn't have a prayer even if they shared a border.

Seriously. They've been trying to engineer this war for a long time. McCain, Bolton, all those Cryptkeeper age neocons were on the take even back before Bush kicked off his Global War on Peace.

Israel says it has completed its strikes on Iran, including missile plants

The US deployed THAAD missile systems to Israel manned by over 100 US troops five days ago to provide support to the iron dome with the implicit threat of US intervention should Iran strike one. The next Iranian missile launch could be the starting pistol of a much broader conflict. Keep an eye out I suppose but I doubt you'll miss the news of it.

Also, the Israelis announcing the completion of attacks on a country strikes me as odd. Is that normal?

Edit: just found out Israel basically didn't hit all that much so maybe the world can rest easy another night

It's all a stupid game. Israel killed some people, so Iran "had to" respond to save face, and then Israel had to do the same. Once everyone is satisfied that everyone knows both countries have very big and girthy missiles, they can finally back down from a war no one wants (hopefully).

Americans are too spoiled, coddled, lazy, entitled, dependant, and apathetic to fight a civil war.
in reply to arswaw [he/him]

As the Lenin quote goes, every society is three hot meals away from chaos. The standard of living in US is rapidly collapsing, and people's wages are not keeping up with the cost of living. That can't go on forever.
in reply to ☆ Yσɠƚԋσʂ ☆

Yeah but this isn't about anything real; it's about their aesthetic not being on the tv for 4 years
in reply to AntiOutsideAktion

That very much used to be the case when most people could make ends meet financially. The problem now is that increasing numbers of people are unable to pay their bills. Credit card delinquencies are at all time high, so are car payments, and soon people won't be able to afford their mortgages or rent. That's what's driving the polarization of society.

Lenin had a lot of bangers, although some stuff ends up being attributed to him without clear sources.

Even better is that simplelogin was purchased by proton and it being incorporated into the product. Already mostly done from what I can tell. I started with Firefox Relay and if they even give me a reason to leave I'll just switch over to what's baked into proton. There is something to be said for keeping them separate though. If I ever leave proton, having kept the relay service separate would be a big time saver.

Just got over that portion of being sick, but it’s evolved into a persistent cough now that’s hurting my abdomen I’m coughing so much. At one point I had to have two “stations” set up, a hot station for cooling down and cold station for warming back up. I would just bounce back and forth between the two as my temperature swung around wildly.
in reply to paddirn

same about the cough. It's been exactly a week today since I got sick. Its just an annoying ass cough.

Saudi Arabia: Neom workers speak of '16-hour work days' in undercover film

Nicholas McGeehan, director at the UK-based human rights organisation FairSquare, said the working hours of the labourers at The Line were "way beyond what the international minimum standards permit".

"The reality is that workers all over Saudi Arabia are subject to deeply abusive and dangerous exploitation. The abuses are systematically happening across the country," McGeehan said.

Migrant workers make up three quarters of Saudi Arabia's workforce and are critical for the Vision 2030 projects.

Based on data released in India, Bangladesh and Nepal, the film reports that 21,000 foreign workers from the three countries have died since Vision 2030 was launched eight years ago in 2016.

in reply to Dyskolos

The first part is false and the latter ignores that it is a class issue as the migrant workers can be Muslim.
in reply to تحريرها كلها ممكن

Oh sorry, my bad. Islam is known for its strong women's rights.
Class issue? So even more hipocrite than just abusing infidels? Next you probably say IS weren't muslim because they also kill muslims

Really the only difference between the two factions of the US one-party state, is that one is honest about their belief that a few capitalists should own the country and everyone else can starve, and the other is better at PR. Both Obama and Biden's cabinet were hand-picked by citibank for example, and both parties staunchly support genocide, even though the democrats occasionally try to pander to the left on it.

in reply to ☆ Yσɠƚԋσʂ ☆

I try to be open minded and give things a fair shake but when your article opens with "a guy I know compared Ukraine to the Germans in 1945" and follows up with "Russia is undefeatable therefore resistance is futile" I gotta assume I'm not looking at fair, balanced and transparent journalism. Downvoted.

Ever heard about Stepan Bandera? If let's say Norwegians started to venerate Vidkun Quisling or French with Philippe Petain, similar comparisons would be immediate.
