Russia must exit Syria for EU to lift sanctions on HTS: Dutch FM

Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp has called for Russia's military withdrawal from Syria as a key condition for lifting European Union sanctions on Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).

Speaking ahead of an EU foreign ministers meeting, Veldkamp stressed the need to tie sanctions relief to an inclusive political transition and the removal of Russian forces.

"I think it's too early to lift those sanctions," Veldkamp said. "We really would like to condition that on an inclusive political transition."

Yemen launches Palestine 2 hypersonic missile at 'Israel'

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced the successful launch of a hypersonic ballistic missile, Palestine 2, targeting Israeli-occupied territories in support of the Palestinian cause, in response to ongoing massacres in Gaza, and in support of the Resistance.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, confirmed Monday that the operation achieved its objectives and reiterated Yemen's commitment to continued military action.

"The armed forces are determined to strike all enemy targets in the occupied territories," Saree stated, emphasizing that such operations would persist until the aggression against Gaza ends and the siege is lifted.

Al-Sharaa: Syria won't be used as launchpad for attacks on 'Israel'

In an exclusive interview with The Times on Monday, Syria's new leader Mohammed al-Jolani, now preferring to go by his birth name Ahmed al-Sharaa, pledged that he would not allow the country to be used as a launchpad for attacks "against Israel or any other state".

Al-Sharaa called on "Israel" to halt its airstrikes and withdraw from Syrian territory it occupied following Assad's departure.

"Israel's justification was the presence of Hezbollah and Iranian militias, so that justification is gone," he said. "We are committed to the 1974 agreement and we are prepared to return the UN [monitors]."

He added, "We do not want any conflict whether with Israel or anyone else and we will not let Syria be used as a launchpad for attacks. The Syrian people need a break, and the strikes must end and Israel has to pull back to its previous positions."

December vibes. More places should just take the month off. Surely the data shows how unproductive most are. Now's the time to get cozy and rest.

A job I had a few years ago did that actually. We basically shut down for the month, and just had a skeleton crew to keep the lights on.

A scandal in the 211th Brigade [Ukraine] — General Staff sent an inspection to the military unit

I left the original title, but a more accurate one is "Ukrainian soldiers (which were most likely kidnapped from a street and sent to this meat grinder) are now tortured by Ukraine".

A Ukrainian version of the article contains a better description of the events: "beaten until organs ruptured, skull bones fractured and kept in cages".

extracted from the body of the post because I'm not sure whether this breaks the rules or not, so better get a comment removed than a post

Goncharenko (a member of Ukrainian parliament) shared a video depicting a result of such tortures.

Well if they gave warnings the refugees would be able to escape, defeating the purpose of bombing the school.
