Ladies and gents it is the final frontier.

I am trying to conquer the matrix docker ansible playbook. So far, because of all the knowledge I have gained setting this damn thing up around 4 times now (conduit, dendrite, synapes with sqlite3, conduwuit) things are going swimmingly.

I would say that except for now when I am running the playbook I keep getting this error:

to your `vars.yml` file. Using another secret value for the new variable is also possible and shouldn't cause any trouble.  "

I mean hell i even changed it back to "matrix.example.com" just for shits and giggles and still nothing.

I have tried putting the playbook in my home directory I even tried the instructions for an existing homeserver and it still pops up.

I am losing my mind!

My server is running ubuntu 20.04 and my machine I am running ansible on is running arch.

I'm a long-time Linux user but for the past few years my main laptop - a Lenovo Legion 5 with both AMD iGPU and Nvidia dGPU - has been on Win10. I'd like to upgrade and am looking for suggestions for distros and configurations. I've mainly used Debian-based distros in the past but am not particular. Here are my main concerns:

• I will likely still need to run Windows in a VM for a few corporate applications that won't run in Linux (according to some teammates who have tried).
• I do a lot of work in Figma and haven't tried it at all in Linux, but I know for sure it needs GPU acceleration. It seems like I'd have to choose between the following:
  
  • just running in a browser window and (somehow) assigning the dGPU to that browser
  • the above, but using the unofficial Linux electron-based figma app
  • try running the Windows app in Linux
  • putting Linux on the iGPU and passing the dGPU through to a Windows VM for this

  
  

• I also do a fair amount of local LLM work. I would prefer to do this in Linux with the dGPU, but again I could pass the dGPU through to a Windows VPN and then do it in WSL2 in Windows (which seems a little janky)
• I don't want to dual-boot

Does anyone have any thoughts/suggestions on this? I haven't tried GPU-switching in Linux for a long time and had poor success in the past. Am I better off leaving both GPUs accessible in Linux, or passing one through for the Windows VM?

Ieri c'è stata una conferenza stampa di Bugo, una conferenza stampa ufficiale, dove veniva annunciato il ritiro dalle scene di Bugo. Solo che al posto di Bugo si è presentato Valerio Lundini che per tutto il tempo ha fatto finta di essere Bugo.

Dunque 25 minuti di conferenza stampa assurda (ovviamente, essendo Lundini perfetto per il surreale) dove per tutto il tempo c'era solo Lundini che interpretava Bugo e con il giornalista compiacente che gli faceva le domande e Lundini che rispondeva "sì abbandono le scene il primo aprile, è il mio ultimo concerto" e via così.

Molti giornali, ignorando completamente la cosa e basandosi praticamente ormai solo da articoli ricicciati dall'AI hanno riportato solo la notizia del comunicato stampa (o forse qualche post sui social) senza menzionare questo piccolo particolare.

Un esempio su tutti è questo di Fanpage che per l'occasione ho salvato anche su archive.is.

Insomma la giornalista assicura che non è un pesce d'aprile virgolettando Bugo ignorando completamente il fatto che in realtà era Lundini che faceva finta di essere Bugo. 🔝
