Host vaultwarden internally
I want to host a Vaultwarden (or Bitwarden if necessary) instance, but it keeps asking for a domain and a SSL certificate. I dont own a domain and dont want to enable port forwarding on my router to expose it to the outside.
Is it possible to host a instance only internally and access it via the IP or a domain set on my local DNS? How about SSL is it possible and/or necessary?
Aegisub 3.4.0 Released
It’s been a while!
This release, the first stable in a decade, was designed to have minimal feature changes from 3.2.2. The goal was to just cut a release that builds on modern systems, which was itself more than enough work. Further releases will include actual features and more normal changelogs. The version is 3.4.0 to avoid conflicts with forks that tagged things under 3.3.x.
Moving forward, development will continue out of TypesettingTools/Aegisub.

The US has created an entire parallel global economy with its rampant use of sanctions-based warfare. If you sanction everyone, eventually, you just sanction yourself as enemies freely trade with enemies.
And Trump is going to make it even worse with his plans to place tariffs on everyone from China to NATO and NAFTA partners.
All while the parallel global economy just grows and grows.

I started reading, and it seems to criticize some Polish proposal, rather than anything substantial?
Like, paraphrasing, "the proposal says it worked well in context A, but that doesn't mean it'll work well in context B". I mean, sure, whatever. But not very juicy.
Maybe there's good points in there, but if they had valid criticism they should have spilled the beans right away. If not I'll keep thinking ensuring digital sovreignity and embracing open web standards are good things.
I meant that this "critical analysis" didn't seem to offer any substantial critiques of ActivityPub or its use, but merely a bunch of critiques of this petition itself on points that seem not extremely relevant.
It might be interesting for people who are invested in this specific debate, but I outside of that context it doesn't seem to have all that much to add to anything.
Not saying the petition is unsubstantial, I just struggled to find any substance to this critique of it.

the closest this article gets to mentioning NordStream 2:
Faced with some of the world’s highest energy costs, expensive labor and onerous regulation, many big German companies are simply upping stakes and relocating to other regions.
it's presented like weather or the natural state of things, you're not allowed to ask why the energy costs are high
reminds one of O'Malley-Dillon and Plouffe and Cutter talking about "PoLiTiCaL hEaDwInDs"
It also honestly just reads like standard US news media propaganda that comes up whenever they want something to be privatized, whether that's Venezuela's oil, Chile's copper, Chinese industry, the VA, USPS, public schools, etc. It's basically an underhanded threat and an attempt to lay the groundwork for justifying gutting European public services.
What's more, the Nordstream bombing is far from the only act of sabotage the US has done to Europe, which also includes stuff like the Ukraine war itself, suspicious fires at ASML plants, and the Suez canal blockage where the ship (for some reason) drew a giant penis before beaching itself.
Thing is that Europe is a capitalist economy and people who own companies will make decisions that increase their profits.
I agree and I don't want to sound like it's just US vs EU here, because there are plenty of capitalists in the EU of course who would certainly love to have more "austerity" and gut public services with as little public backlash as possible. I'm just saying I've seen similar propaganda in the US my entire life, often directed at institutions in the US, and a lot of times it shares similarities with how the US media also treats certain foreign governments.

Two US Navy pilots shot down over Red Sea in apparent 'friendly fire' incident, US military says
cross-posted from: sh.itjust.works/post/29859672
Two U.S. Navy pilots were shot down Sunday over the Red Sea in an apparent “friendly fire” incident, the U.S military said, marking the most serious incident to threaten troops in over a year of America targeting Yemen’s Houthi rebels. Both pilots were recovered alive after ejecting from their stricken aircraft, with one suffering minor injuries. But the shootdown underlines just how dangerous the Red Sea corridor has become over the ongoing attacks on shipping by the Iranian-backed Houthis despite U.S. and European military coalitions patrolling the area.
The U.S. military had conducted airstrikes targeting Yemen’s Houthi rebels at the time, though the U.S. military’s Central Command did not elaborate on what their mission was and did not immediately respond to questions from The Associated Press.

"Why would the Houthis do this?"
That's really fascinating, actually.
I'm always interested in seeing what damage the US military sustains in actual combat, considering how much money they spend on it.
It looks like the only damage being done to the US at all in this conflict is from friendly-fire.

'Israel' prepares for new attack in Yemen, plans to involve additional countries
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority (IBA) reported that security officials stated "Israel" is preparing for another attack in Yemen, this time planning to involve additional countries in the operation.
The agency further noted, citing a source within the occupation, that a message has been sent to the US indicating that Tel Aviv anticipates an increase in attacks against the Houthis.

... Tel Aviv anticipates an increase in attacks against the Houthis.
tel aviv is not sure that tel aviv will step up attacks? could this possibly be stated any more passively?
It's a childish way these Arab publications try to show support by trying to outdo eachother when referring to Israel. Putting it in quotes, calling it "the zionist entity", "the occupying force", ...
What they really want to call them is The Evil Jewzies but at least they realized that doesn't really serve their cause. But we get this prepuberal gunk instead
