I kind of feel like Reddit is the biggest bar in the world and having a conversation there feels like it. If you aren’t loud and early, you can’t really participate in a meaningful way. The smaller crowd of Lemmy is a sweet spot for me. Enough people that it’s not dead, but small enough that I can still participate in conversations.
Also, on Reddit I felt dread seeing that there was something in my inbox. On Lemmy, I'm excited to see what someone wrote. Just a very different experience overall.

Tu puoi crearti il filtro Mastodon (da far usare anche ad altri eventuale) con dentro server Mastodon predefiniti che scegli tu.

I ran across this old post suggesting that the udev-rule is copied over to /etc/udev/rules.d, but the installation process seems to have taken care of that already.
This print head function is also available through this god-awful mobile app that I had to use to set it up, but now the app also cannot find the printer, even though I try to connect directly to the IP. I have ensured that my phone is on the same network as the printer, but alas.
This happened straight after I set up the integration in Home Assistant, but I imagine this is just a coincidence. I last used the printer just over a month ago.
Epson's software is quite sub par in recognizing their own hardware. Over here their own utility can't find my epson scanner, for example. Although it does work if I use it the IP address. Something in their network detection code is just erroneous. As for the epson printer itself, it stopped connecting to my wifi, no matter what. I now have it connected via an ethernet cable, and things work better. So definitely try an ethernet cable.
Thanks, I'll try that if I can't get anywhere with this. After a long time, now it suddenly seems to detect it upon a random retry after dealing with some other stuff for several hours, although it reports some weird values (e.g. all tanks are empty, when they are about 3/4 full for black and 4/5 full for rest). I've managed to start the head cleaner now at least, so we'll see where that leads.
TL;DR; I checked the dummy cartrige and primed it again.
When I had issues with my EcoTank, I took out the dummy cartrige and checked it. The reservoir was completely empty, so I had to prime it again. I actuated with a screwdriver the valve at the bottom and put a bigger suringe through the rubber lid of the EcoTank. By "opening" the vale of the dummy cartrige and pushing air through the suringe into the tank, pushing some ink back into the dummy cartrige to prime it again, I successfully recovered all my dummy cartriges and my printer is working flawlessly since then :3
Hey! It works now :) After opening it up, I ended up cleaning the nozzles by pumping isopropanol through them (filled a syringe with it, removed the dummy cartridges and connected the syringe and nozzles with a PVC-tube). After that I ran the nozzle cleaning program through the epson-printer-utility tool a couple of times (not the power cleaning), and then printed some full color pages of CMYK.
The program, which initially this post was about (hence the Linix community) worked once I realized it didn't pick it up while I was connected with VPN. Then scanning tool does, not sure how this tool atrempts to find the printer that it is not caught by the default split tunneling set up by Proton VPN.

Mine does not have that (does yours?), and I remember reading somewhere that to do that hardcore cleaning (I can't recall what they called it), I would need to run it using either Windows or macOS.

Overall I would say it is more stable and less features than Hyprland. And recently it has Waybar modules so you can have a complete status bar. Personally would prefer Niri over Hyprland on a laptop if I do not plan on connecting monitors. The issue I had is that there are too many actions available to move windows including across monitors and setting simple keybinds for all of those becomes a problem. It just did not work for me as I use two monitors.
I'm on River too, but I still wish one could move windows across monitors just like in Sway and Hyprland. I'm referring to the fallback window movement when it reaches the end of a monitor and there is an available monitor in that direction so it sends the window to said available monitor. I think it makes for a low cognitive effort workflow.

I experience this preview problem viewing videos posted both by Pixelfed uploads (such as yours) and videos posted via Mastodon instances which I follow in Pixelfed. One point of conflict a few years ago was that the Mastodon dev didn't want group functions, so Mastodon can't create groups.
But I still don't quite understand what you mean by the problem “do not appear in an orderly manner”? What does that have to do with groups?
