Sen Palestinafrågan hamnade högt på den politisk agenaden har det lett till en rad uteslutningar ur Vänsterpartiet. Först uteslöts Alling i Linköping, därefter ett par personer i Skåne. Därefter Kristofer Lundberg i Göteborg. Slutligen Lorena Delgado Varas och Daniel Riazat i Stockholm. Tre av uteslutningarna har lett till skapandet av nya partiprojekt.

Guarding My Git Forge Against AI Scrapers - VulpineCitrus
Self-hosting anything that is deemed "content" openly on the web in 2025 is a battle of attrition between you and forces who are able to buy tens of thousands of proxies to ruin your service for data they can resell. This is depressing. Profoundly depressing. i look at the statistics board for my reverse-proxy and i never see less than 96.7% of requests classified as bots at any given moment. The web is filled with crap, bots that pretend to be real people to flood you. All of that because i want to have my little corner of the internet where i put my silly little code for other people to see.
i have to learn to protect myself from industrial actors in order to put anything online, because anything a person makes is valuable, and that value will be sucked dry by every tech giant to be emulsified, liquified, strained, and ultimately inexorably joined in an unholy mesh of learning weights.

Wayland, Switching between & focusing windows with just hotkeys?
Edit: I want a graphical window switcher that's fully keyboard controlled, so I can see the windows before switching them.
The screenshot is from hyprland-easymotion which only shows labels for visible windows. I want a switcher that allows for both switching to windows or the same, or from any app, using just the keyboard and no mouse.
Ideally I could go to a window without pressing tab or another key a bunch of times, perhaps select any window (visible or not) with a letter like easymotion.
Idk if I follow. I believe the default keybinds in hyprland allow you to switch between windows using super+J/K/L/;, and between workspaces using super+number. Hyprland, like all tiled window managers, are specifically designed to be used exclusively with a keyboard.
Are you asking for something more like alt+tab on windows? Where it shows a little preview of all the windows? I think that's kind of obviated by the concept of a tiled window manager.
This is better than directional arrows or alt tab because you can go directly to any window with one binding to open the utility and a second key to type a window label.

The beauty is that it’s the same short process to go to any window no matter if if you 15 visible windows across 3 monitors.
You don’t have to conceptually switch to an output and then to a window or type a string of directional keys like Super+LLLLLJJ

Canada is repeating a century of anti-migrant scapegoating
Carney’s immigration law C-12 is a new chapter in an old Canadian playbook of scapegoating migrants while serving the corporate elites

Corporations: We need more migrants to lower wages, but in return we will create more jobs! It's actually helping us maintaining the wages down so we only pay the minimum required. We might cut any amount of jobs whenever we see fit.
Also corporations: Migrants are ruining our country!

Simple, full-featured, file-based music playerf-droid.org
I've been very picky about music players over the years. Basically for decades (well, maybe not that long) it was PowerAmp, ever since I had my HTC Hero on Android 1.5.
Then when I got into the whole Open Source thing, I chose Musicolet and loved it, even donated to the author.
Sadly, on my latest phone which seems to have incredibly strict memory/power settings, I had to stop using Musicolet. The phone would kill the player a sing or two into listening no matter what tricks I would use to try and stop it happening.
Now I'm using Phocid which has never been killed while in use.
And I keep all my music in finders, correctly named and tagged with MP3Tag and MusicBee because, you know, Autism. 😁

My KDE Neon won't suspend automatically...what's blocking power management?
So...As I installed KDE Neon recently, it worked and autosuspended perfectly after 15min, which is what's set on Power Management settings. However, I've noticed after installing and configuring all the rest of the apps, it's no longer the case. I mean, it DOES suspend if I manually click the Suspend in the start menu, or if I hit the suspend key from my keyboard. But it won't do it on its own.
I initially suspected SMPlayer, which in the Ubuntu 24.04 repos has a long standing issue about this (will suspend when playback stopped, but not when paused). But after installing the newest flatpak...and even with SMPlayer closed, it's still not suspending. What else could be blocking Power Management from suspending my PC? How can I troubleshoot this?
Thanks!

I had a bug similar to this for years. I tried multiple distros, DEs, hdmi cables, display port cables, etc etc. I didn't want suspend, but I really need screen blanking. I finally had a revelation deep in some forum somewhere that mentioned some feature on my monitor. I forget what it was exactly, but it was an 'auto' something that prevented the computer itself from doing anything.
Odd, but possible.

in reply to trulyrandomguy • • •Sorry, for the delay, - sleep. These are the places I check, but I am no expert kernel dev or anything.
I had a similar-ish issue in an embedded Arch yesterday. Apparently there was an upstream change in the organization of Linux firmware. It was in the pacman manual intervention news feed from a few months ago, like October I think. Anyways, I just had to update that Arch build by removing the Nvidia firmware. The arch instructions were to delete all entries in Linux-firmware and rebuild them with pacman after a -Syu update. I am on obscure hardware on that device, and the error I was getting was specifically related to the older Nvidia firmware modules. So I only removed them and it resolved my issue. IIRC, the Arch news mentioned something about how these firmware files got relocated upstream. Maybe this was not resolved correctly for your firmware by the Fedora packagers.
