How to organize your local media library?
I am searching dor some form of software that I can use to watch all the different media I have stored locally, similar to Jellyfin. However the Problem is, that I do not have a dedicated media server (yet), so I am searching for something that I can use like Jellyfin, but that just runs locally. Everything that I have found is aimed at media servers. Do you have any suggestions?

The policy that allows faith-based health-care providers to ban medical assistance in dying in their facilities is being tested now in B.C. Supreme Court. The plaintiffs want to see the policy struck down so patients don't have to transfer to another facility in the final moments of their lives.
If it's their dying wishes why make that harder for them? I suppose people will have to start considering the views of their faith in their final years.

So, terrible at robo-taxis (despite a head start) & now pivoted to being a $1.44 trillion humanoid robotics start-up? That can only end well.

They'll either sacrifice the USS Abraham Lincoln or false flag attack the Super Bowl to justify this.

Great, so now it’s cool for any country to just kidnap the leader of another country…
This won’t end well…

in reply to Microstar301 • • •I second Kodi. I've used it on my SHIELD for quite a while because I have no Server either. The setup is a bit fiddly, but once it's up and running, it's robust.
I would recommend adding the KODInerds repository early on, there's a lot of good stuff in that.

in reply to KraeuterRoy • • •Third Kodi fan here. Definitely the most bang for your buck.
(But if you just want tv and movies then Jellyfin is probably easier to setup.)

Get a good SSD that you can connect to your phone and carry it around. Then share your phone's screen to a TV over WiFi or copy the file to your phone's internal storage and plug it with an USB to HDMI cable if that's an option for you.
A good app on Android for file browsing is MiXplorer.
I usually only think about running stuff like Jellyfin when I'm already using my PC, so turning it on or off is never an issue and I'll never need an external server for this purpose.
