frontier model hardware needs are still genuinely hard for me to wrap my head around. to run kimi k3 locally at full speed apparently you need ~1.3 terabytes of VRAM. that is so unbelievably much more than any quantity you would ever need in any other personal computing context. i play graphically intensive video games at pretty good settings on a desktop with an 8GB vram card from 2021.
