I've been trying to contact you for almost a month now. You suspended my account (@nus@mstdn.social) with no warning, and despite being on your instance since 2022...

You've never said a single word about anything that lead up to it.

You did choose to overturn several post removals - including one where all I wrote was "This is Islamophobic fake news" in response to a hateful Babylon Bee screenshot.

Your profile says you want to be social, so... where?

This is a ROUGH appeal process, because I've never seen a single word about why posts were removed. I'd have to guess my offense, then state my case, all in one 500-character post, and cross my fingers. With no feedback before or after.

Once my account was suspended, I tried contacting you and your mod team through appeals, then through email. Radio silence.

So since my account is going to expire, I was hoping I could publicly appeal here for you to delay that decision.

The biggest hint I have is a few people complained to you publicly too, saying you wouldn't respond in private either. So here I am.

The same accounts that accused you of not suspending me, are also posting extremely similar accusations about nullagent and Aral Balkan for the same reason as they went after me (criticism of Israel's genocidal actions).

Are those accounts next, or are they too big to remove?

In summary:

Please restore my account.

Please be more transparent, with ALL users. I'd heard and dismissed similar horror stories involving your instance in the past. Maybe foolishly.

Please get a bigger moderation team. It seems to be just you at the moment.

And if I need to make some concessions (like not talking about the Gaza genocide), I guess I can do that too.

I almost forgot to mention another huge downside: No access to DMs, at least not the other person's side (and for the technically uninclined, their own side too). That's probably pretty frustrating on its own.

Kind of surprised that I've received no communication either way yet via any communication method, sadly.

btw, do the donations have to be within 2024? I can post my receipts whenever you are available.

Maybe that can be an icebreaker to discuss more serious things.

It's been nearly 30 days since you suspended me, and like I mentioned at the beginning, you've never spoken to me once.

and it's been another 5 days since you've failed to respond to this. Kind of impressive, isn't it? You haven't responded here or anywhere else, you haven't banned my account, AFAIK you haven't even looked.

This moderation quality is horrible.

Wiping out my account without warning, without any previous warning, also caused me to lose all DMs with people I was purchasing things from.

@hailmaryifiveeverseenone You have been banned for a very good reason, replying with multiple accounts or spamming isn't gonna change that

no reason was ever given. No communication was ever had, not in private, and not in public.

The same people who gave you "good reasons" also want you to censor Aral Balkan, Timnit Gebru, and many others. The only difference between my account and their accounts is that they have more social capital than I do.

And, apparently, the people false-flagging accounts (who you took seriously), had more social capital than me too. This is terrible moderation.
