I hate to be That Guy, but no, this really isn't hypocrisy. If Posobiec held a universalist principle -- "one should not threaten the president" or "one should be able to threaten the president," either one -- then it would be hypocrisy. But he does not hold any such universalist principle.

Morning folks, welcome to the weekend 😁
I am all of the ouchies and sleepies this morning, did get a better sleep but as seems to be the pattern, my body rebels more 2 days after a big day out.
I have things to do this morning, but suppose I should wait until a reasonable time so I don't disturb the neighbours....lets get more coffee instead and maybe look at the news, just to really make the day start well 😬
Have a fabulous weekend everyone.

On the one hand, I'm of course delighted to see Tim Davie say something like this. On the other hand, I wrote to Tim at the start of 2021 arguing that the BBC needed to get its act together because of these very problems. Tim replied saying basically all was fine.www.theguardian.com/media/2025/m...

Seriously, I don’t get what the fuss is about. Anyone who has sat in an informal setting & talked with someone who is in their 80s cannot be surprised. Even when I recall personal experiences from 8, 9, 10 years ago, I have to orient events in the chronology.
Try talking to my 82 year old mother —who is sharp & capable & fit — it’ll take her an hour of meanderings about people events etc. It’s the product of a long & eventful life.

Marc Peeperkorn (DPG Media)
But Bostock expanded Title VII, which doesn't just ban firing LGBTQ+ ppl but "discriminating...with respect to...terms, conditions, or privileges of employment..." So Kacsmaryk's ruling would unilaterally rewrite Title VII of the Civil Rights Act ag its black-letter meaing. [HT @dana@catodon.social]
