…I do find it bizarre that a city so obsessed with its own Naval significance is so committed to sinking it.
The problem is, Portsmouth doesn’t think much about its paradoxes at all.
It invites the world’s largest cruise ships in. It provides a home to fantastically engineered white elephants (aka aircraft carriers), dependent upon 4 million litres of bunker fuel each.
And pretends that raising its seafront by 1 metre is job done.
It’s fucking insane levels of hubris

Textilverkstaden är flyttad till vår nya övervåning! Gamla verkstadsutrymmet är tomt. Där blir det CNC, tror jag? Eller hur det nu blir. Styrelsen måste ta ett helhetsgrepp på pusslet att ge alla verktyg bra utrymme.
