IMO: the role deflection plays in keeping any and all systems of inequity intact has been large, and remains pretty under recognized.
@nini I'd say that dominance based ideas of masculinity arguably make the other isms -considerably- more brutal.
Ex: if some dudes didn't erroneously believe men were supposed to be natural "dominators" (aka abusive) the levels of hyper-competitiveness wouldn't reach such ridiculous heights, the levels of driven-ness, and yes, the levels of physical violence towards people "othered" by different means...would likely be be less…horrific.

I no longer see, what should hold me back when producing on Linux. I would say, that if my Windows-plugins stopped working because of Wine or Yabridge, I would have an insufficient toolbox, and it would be a question of money to get the right tools.
