Absolutely frustrating. I picked up my Accurascale Pannier tank that I ordered last year from my neighbour, got it out of the box to find it was DCC fitted. Win, free decoder! I had ordered a sound decoder last week as I now fancied sound since paying for it in January, but it seems the speakers fitted to the model are duds. So no sound.
Now I’m going to have to return the thing, having waited so long for it.

This is worth a read. The Irish NGS (National Gender Service) for trans healthcare is a hidden national scandal. After 18 months here I'm yet to hear a single good thing from anyone about it ... basically everyone is doing DIY HRT or paying private.
In fact the more I know the more I feel it should actually be the called the LPS or Licensed Perverts Service based on the psychs, but draw your own conclusions (a covert recording has been publically released of one session)
The best thing that ever happened to me was two amazing public facing trans elders advising me to stay well away from the UK NHS GICs, for my own dignity and self/respect. I did, but this in Ireland - by all accounts - is far worse ...

That all sounds so familiar - I've heard the same story many times...
The system and those running it are absolutely not fit for purpose - those making decisions are downright creepy.
There are many reasons I didn't use the NGS and this is one - I'd never have got through it, I'd have called them out.
But many feel they have no option but to go through this...
And the person appointed to review the process? Well, he is one of them...🤬

I guess it's clearer to avoid the Irish NGS than the UK NHS. I still never know why anyone uses it but of course maybe not everyone is connected, or there is parental pressure. Hell some trans people even like rigid medical processes and to feel an "approved" version.
It boils my blood, every time I hear this stuff, that anyone who is trans should feel they have to tolerate what is essentially an abusive process.
Diagnosis and waitlists are abusive by design, period🔥

Plutôt pour les grands.
Les illustrations à l'aquarelle font penser à Sempé et aussi un peu à Catherine Meurisse (Les Grands espaces), c'est dire si c'est réussi.
Le format imposant à l'italienne permet de déployer les immenses paysages.
Petit bémol : c'est écrit petit, et les rares paroles, en typo manuelle sont en plus en gris, pas très lisibles.

how bad would it be, quantized to the terminal grid? surprisingly, with the right block characters, not too bad.
