Impressive that a little railway with about 6 trains does the whole testing and builds the know-how for the whole industry and what will maybe become a nationwide programme. But also sensible, as this is an isolated line with track and train in one hand.

And this translates directly to weight: A Mireo (93t) is about 50% heavier than a Lynette (63t). I really hope that they did consider, what that means in terms of permanent way maintenance on a light line like this. 😬

The passenger flow on these lines is very variable. Both in summer but also at commuting times.
Same for the GoCollective lines towards the German border: at midday you're one of three passengers, while the train two hours later has 50 people on it.
