I've also finally printed my "kiki/bouba" versions of the photo policy badges that might work better for impaired colour vision
(edit: print files uploaded to Thingiverse & MakerWorld and I'll bring a batch to #39C3)

@neil My head was too deep in my bubble and I hadn't even realised yesterday that you were not in fact asking in the context of 39C3 congress but for a generic conference, right? Sorry, my brain does it's hyperfocus thing without much warning.

So, if I can help with something 3D printed, I can help. But my craft skills pretty much also end there again

America Split Into 10 Regions With Equal Population

Not 'America'.
It's just the United States of America.
There's a big difference.

Criterion has announced their disc releases for March. The headline piece here is a physical media release of Martin Scorsese's KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON (2023).

So this domain appears to be impersonating me.

spodeli[.]org

You should probably check to see if they are impersonating you?

And maybe consider a #fediblock since nonconsensual mirroring of peoples accounts is bad enough behavior for that.

I don't think there is anything shady going on here. Every Fediverse instance has a page for all users they know. If I click on your profile, I'm also not redirected to beige.party, but can view your profile on climatejustice.social. On Pleroma it just looks a bit different than on Mastodon, but it's the same.

Over on LinkedIn, people are moaning about Evri, and the official Evri account is arguing with them. It's extremely funny.
in reply to Ben Curthoys

Yup. It is a curious fact of modern life that when you get the "we've got your parcel" message from DPD it's reassuring, but the same message when received from Evri sounds like a hostage demand.

How many of you picked out your cat?
How many of you had the cat pick you?
Or was there some mutual Velcro attachment that occurred while you were out and about just living your life?

all twelve just arrived at my door (over the decades), except for the litter the first cat had after declaring she was living in my house as of now.

😊

My #AOTY2025 list is done. There were 21 albums/EPs released this year that I liked enough to buy.

Kicking things off at number 21 is The Mechanics of Mysticism by Ether Diver. This is a really interesting (and quite fun) electronic/ambient/experimental album from fellow fedi-denizen @etherdiver

#Linux -

Stop using #Ventoy, now !

A BLOB (Binary Large Object) is a data type used to store large binary data and is located within a program or library. It can be anything: dll, drivers /sys, plugins, firmware, multimedia, etc.

It is not readable, and for Ventoy whose source code is available as open source software, the use of BLOBs is quite suspici... en.iguru.gr/eisai-epangelmatia…

And do not use #iventoy (closed sources) at all
