Wow, ultrasonic cleaners work great for fountain pens!

It is a great tool. I just used mine on Pilot E95S and the nib popped off! Luckily, it just clicks back in place.

Used Soro (app) to set up a shortcut to remove my office spreaker from the house music (Sonos). Set up another to add it back in.

Once I find my NFC stickers, I'll put two on my desk so I can quickly mute/unmute my office for meetings.

last time I tried NFC triggered Shortcuts, there was a solid 3 second delay between the NFC being read and the automation starting (first action is to vibrate the device)

@Cyberbeni Yeah that's been my experience too. I have one for turning off the office light for calls and it was like that.

in honor of pkd's birthday, here's the quote i use to test graphics code on retro projects

I have this idea in my head that there are places where you can live almost any kind of successful life (however you define that) without needing to live elsewhere. But I don't know if that's true. Like, I reckon if you're in Boston or New York or SF, you're a 4-hour drive from all manner of outdoor recreation, there are colleges at every level of prestige, there are companies of every stripe that you could work at, there is every variety of entertainment at your doorstep. But also, those places are outrageously expensive, and "successful life" for, say, an auto mechanic or a teacher may be utterly unattainable because you're locked into sub-subsistence wages. Perhaps places like Chicago or Atlanta or Seattle or LA tick most of the boxes, but not all of them.

Idk, maybe this is a dumb idea. I grew up on the moon and had to move repeatedly to get an education. And, now that I live on the moon again, I am keenly aware of how rough and limiting things are out here.

Maybe this is a dumb idea. Movement is good in its own right.

cost of living has a huge effect, at least in my experience. I had to work two jobs with only one day off (if I was not called in) just to afford to live in the City. 35 to 45 minutes outside the City, I only needed one job. Everything is more accessible in the City, but affordability was more important to me.

I think my complaint/issue/program is that this is a problem that you deserve to have solved.
