The tragedy, Scotland’s tragedy, is that too many talented youngsters are lost to the arts because they are persuaded by parents or carers and teachers that they need to get a “proper” job instead. Worse still, too many of them just never get a chance to experience the comprehensive joy which can accompany listening or watching the top talents in their sector.

#ScribesAndMakers 2/1 — What's one creative thing you'd like to get done this month?
I want to finish editing A Druid's Choice so I can actually publish it this month.
Lost a few days to brain fog and compassion.
And of course, I want to keep writing in my WiPs.

Agreed.... as AI becomes more and more acceptable, not because it is better (hint.. it Isn't) but because it it removes us pesky workers and employers want that.
The only thing left, before it is too assimilated, is working with your hands, crafts and the arts.
I would rather see someone perform on a stage... than listen to an artificial created peace of music ... buy a hand made unique piece of art than a mass produced item or pay somebody to repair something than replace
With #AI jobs taking the 'Jobs' all we will be left with is UBI, acquired and learned skills plus employment that requires human interaction like nursing and care.
We should encourage kids in the arts... as proper jobs will be fewer and far between as the years advance.
