Doch handeln Menschen wirklich nur rational aus Eigeninteresse? Und ab wie viel Egoismus wird es schädlich? Ein Gastbeitrag Peter R. Preißler.

Very excited about this, Andy. And if you are looking for a midsized server to test on, happy to do so on indieweb.social.

@tchambers thank you! @dave @renchap we will keep that offer in mind; it may be a while before there’s code to try out but we definitely appreciate the willingness!

Britain and the US have raised
⚠️fears that Russia has shared #nuclear #secrets with Iran
in return for Tehran supplying Moscow with #ballistic #missiles to bomb Ukraine.

During their summit in Washington DC on Friday,
#Keir #Starmer and US president #Joe #Biden acknowledged that the two countries were tightening military cooperation
at a time when Iran is in the process of enriching enough #uranium to complete its long-held goal to build a #nuclear #bomb.

British sources indicated that 🆘concerns were aired about Iran’s trade for nuclear technology, part of a deepening #alliance between #Tehran and #Moscow.

It is not clear how much #technical it knowhow Tehran has to build a nuclear weapon at this stage,
or how quickly it could do so.

Working with experienced Russian specialists
or using Russian knowledge would help speed up the manufacturing process, however
– though Iran denies that it is trying to make a nuclear bomb.

Someone once told me tech is full of people who have never failed in life so when confronted with failure, they actively choose to avoid reality.

It explains a lot of tech bro behavior.

I wish deploying #Python 2 on Debian 12 was as easy as deploying Python 2 in a #FreeBSD / #HardenedBSD jail.

If the debate Trump claims he won was rigged then that means he lost.

The debate was not rigged. Trump got trounced by Kamala Harris. He’s just a sore loser who is scared of going to prison.

in reply to Scott Dworkin

Simply put, Trump didn't do his homework and when baited by VP Harris, fell back into his unhinged campaign rally rhetoric, which not only plays poorly to a national television audience, has become boring and repetitive with even his loyal followers (hence Kamala's comment about people walking out of his rallies.)

With hope and love, SwiftiesForKamala 🫶

Since Taylor’s endorsement, the Harris campaign has been reenergized with the power of Swifties! We wanted to share some photos from members in our Discord, all of whom were inspired by Taylor's post featuring her cat, Benjamin Button 🐱

The trees and the statue

Near the Forty Foot in Dún Laoghaire is a statue with religious carvings on it. For once, Google Maps wasn’t too helpful about what the statue was called.

Hopefully, someone from the area will see this and let me know what it’s called.
