The New York Times never did want to call lies what they are. So it's reverted to the limp expression "false claim" in its Trump world coverage.

Such journalistic cowardice, but we can't expect anything better.

I can't say I'm surprised that most media companies are going to be reluctant to say "lie" because "defamation"--is it a lie if you straight up don't give a shit? Frankfurt says no, you're actually worse than a liar. Even the Muller report had to say that they'd have a hard time proving Trump knew he broke the law because he so flagrantly violated it (that's what exonerated him :p)

At this point the Ohio one is a blatant lie. But it's still risky to say someone lied.

Lots of folks will focus on the political stupidity of this post (because it is stupid), but the real problem is the hatred. This is actually a man who hates--literally hates--his political opponents. He feeds hatred into the American body politic. He feeds hatred into the church.
