We knew this would happen. But we thought it would be Trump who said it.

"Lowry appears to use a vile racial slur, and after analyzing the audio several times before publication, it is difficult to determine a different word that he could have been meaning to use. If Lowry as using a different word why did he feel the need to stop himself and say migrants?" H/t: @James

Goodness, who are we gonna believe… the lying white supremacists twisting themselves into pretzels to convince us that “migrants” sounds enough like the n-word to easily mispronounce it that way, or our lying ears?
Lowry is a racist f*ckwad. Oh, sorry… I was trying to say he’s a fascist dickweed. Thank goodness I caught myself halfway through the mispronunciation!

Donald Trump’s campaign published a list Monday of people that it appears to blame for the recent assassination attempt against the former president. The list did not include the actual assassin, but rather a slate of statements from journalists and Democratic politicians.

@RulesBuster Our state government gets a failing grade for sure, but our reporting deserves more stars. 😜

RIP Jazzybean. Thank you for the companionship you shared with my mum. You were the first horse I formed any sort of bond with, and I'll always cherish the time I got to spend with you. #Animals #HorsesOfMastodon

Have you ever wondered if the supreme court in your state has anything to do with setting bail schedules? Or if it helps certify election results? Is anyone on its bench old enough they’ll soon have to retire?

Today ProPublica is reporting the first case of an abortion-related death -- 28-year-old Amber Thurman of Georgia -- officially ruled preventable. I'm proud to have edited this story and hope that we bring greater understanding of why and how strict abortion bans can cost lives. propublica.org/article/georgia…

And in rather less welcome back garden insect news, I'm pretty sure that this is an Asian hornet (Vespa velutina).

It's an invasive species that's thought to have arrived in France in boxes of pottery in 2004 & has been spreading through Europe since, killing & eating the native honeybee population along the way.

They're supposed to be reported & I've just done that.

If you live in Baden-Württemburg, here's the government webpage where you should report Asian hornet sightings: there have been several reports of individual hornets in our village this year & some nests as well.
