Okay I almost thought I had figured out how to upload a #steam app from #Linux, but unfortunately no.

The thing is: steam-works sdk is just a bunch of windows scripts and executables in a trench coat and it is needed to upload games to steam.

So I thought ... well how about using proton to run that mess?

Unfortunately, this mess also needs a steam client to run, witch is not available in the proton compatibility layer, witch means ... back to using wine I guess?

I will keep you posted.

Along with fellow neighbors/residents, I received a mail from #JustinTrudeau asking to support his handpicked candidate, Laura Palestini, in the #LaSalleEmardVerdun by-election.

Well, sorry Justin, it's too late. I already cast my vote.

That said. I'm surprised the polling station was busier than I thought.

You mean Bloc? I'd be shocked tbh, but not impossible. Probably gonna vote for @CraigSauve myself.

I'm mildly annoyed by miktex. You cannot modify the installation path, and if you try to do it trough `miktexsetup` you'll produce a broken installation.

And I really don't like my ~ having another directory.

Tonight on #WFMU: author Helen Phillips joins host @markhurst on Techtonic to discuss her new book 'HUM.' The novel is set in a city much like New York, in the near future, which is bristling with surveillance cameras, addictive devices, ambient AI, and accelerating climate change. The novel tells how a mother, father, and their two kids navigate this landscape, encountering situations that sound all too familiar in our real-life dystopia. (6pm EDT)

In TV land, they call it “jumping the shark.” It signifies that a show has lost its way and overreached in some embarrassing way. That’s what’s happening now with the Trump show. Read my piece: open.substack.com/pub/statusku…

Is this paper well-known? It's an Open Access paper that hasn't been peer reviewed, but it seemed compelling when I read it.

Any time the abstract says "you're running straight into Gödel's First Incompleteness Theorem" it's never a good thing.

If it's provably impossible to eliminate hallucinations, then all the billions of dollars watts spent on Generative AI will be burned on a pyre of tech nerd hubris.

nell'articolo si parla di prove scientifiche. Ovviamente non ne descrive nemmeno una poiché in realtà non esistono prove scientifiche.
