ICYMI, my partner @nullagent was assaulted last night protesting at a #Seattle City Council member's home over the anti-homeless/anti-SW legislation that's underway.
He's heading over to urgent care now to get a full assessment, and possible stitches for the head wound.
We are getting some extra help at home this week, but he REALLY needs to rest up and take it easy while he recovers. We have one overdue bill to pay + lots of expenses coming up.

i think the main concern i have with something like this is that it severely limits your options when it comes to the base system, especially since getting snap working properly on other systems can be an ordeal in itself due to the several out of tree kernel patches required.
In this case itβs not a huge deal because Neon was already Ubuntu based, but it would complicate things if they wanted to offer a rolling system for the base, or even if they wanted to offer newer kernels like Pop!_OS since theyβd need to patch the level every time for strict confinement support. Which is why Solus abandoned Snap support recently.
