Thanks to Peter Linett and Slover Linett at NORC for this solid research re: DEAI and leadership in US museums - seems to be some really useful points made in the report! Of course, I have two follow-up questions (and more, but I'll let them go right now).

(you can fill in garbage info and still download the report, btw. Or request it from the authors or me.)

Starting to prepare my presentation for our local area #hamradio club on how to install #linux on your computer. Any recommendations for things? I don't think I'll have any time for software install, just linux setup. Maybe do a follow up on 73 linux or something.

New version of vulnerability-lookup has been released with new vulnerability feeds, improved social capabilities and many new features.

@circl operates a public instance 🔗 vulnerability.circl.lu/recent where you can register and comments on vulnerabilities.

The software is also open source github.com/cve-search/vulnerab…

Any suggestions for a rather basic #opensource content management system to be used by non-technical people. #cms

Mediatek crashing a lot on 6.11 lol using realtek instead

With the usual caveat about polls shmolls:

Margin of error: 1%

“#Harris is leading #Trump nationally by 6 points, according to a polling released a week after the first debate between the major party nominees.

The Morning Consult survey, published Tuesday, found Harris garnered 51% support among likely voters — her highest margin to date — compared to Trump’s 45%.”

@PJ_Evans @Snowshadow Most of the time, they are. They get booted off other instances or silenced and move around. So annoying.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! 中秋節快樂!🥮

We smelted copper and tin today in #Valheim. One eye on the smelter, the other on my mead.

We had a couple of visitors join the server to see Rivalund first hand and they were suitably impressed.

We went hunting for sea serpents a few times and managed to drag one into our new serpent trap pond with the harpoon. I tiled the portal hub floor, and planted some turnips and carrots.

We finished off by visiting our original starter base “Hearthstone” to check up on the boars and we were raided by trolls. That base was never built to withstand trolls and suffered some damage. The trolls paid with their hides. And some coin.

This is why Republicans fight tooth and nail against "wokeness."

@shayz0rz @stina_marie Maybe American Crime Story is good because the story is already finished long before it's made 🤔

@romancelandia @bookstodon

Somehow I forgot to post this yesterday: I read Anita Davison's _Murder at Midwinter Manor_

The Danger of Cheap Gadgets: The Rise Of Self-Cleaning, Cat-Killing Litter Boxes

A white self-cleaning cat litter box which looks like a round basket with a cover and a grey doorway in the front (a bit like a front loading washing machine). A toy ginger cat is shown to be stuck in the door, which has closed on it. The back end of the toy cat is protruding out of the door.
Machines that automate the various tedious tasks that come with being a servant in a cat’s household — like feeding and cleaning Mr. Fluffles’ litter box — are generally a godsend, as they ensure a happy cat and a happy human. That is, unless said litter box-cleaning robot kills said cat. That’s the gruesome topic that [Philip Bloom], also known as the bloke of the One Man Five Cats channel on YouTube, decided to investigate after coming across a report about a certain Amazon-bought unit.

For some uses, one has to be really careful of trying to just save money. This is a good example of one such case.
