The NYPD murdered a Black man yesterday over not paying a $2.90 fare.

Two bystanders were also shot, including a friendly fire incident striking a cop.

The Gothamist has an article and while its well written and the situation seems quite serious they seem to fail to call this what it was...

A mass shooting attack on civilians carried out by the NYPD.

How does it make sense to escalate a fucking subway fare into a mass fucking shooting.

The innocent bystander, Gregory Delpeche, who was shot in the head over a $3 fare evasion is now brain dead.

Solidarity to all political prisoners arrested by the New York Occupation Forces!

THAT's more like it! The Palestinian flag is a nice touch too. This looks like it basically had a CD intention to it, as no serious attempts at unarrests were on this video at least. When it is intended that nobody will submit to arrest, it is necessary to be very fast and very forceful in resisting the cops.

The obvious example is charging the cops to escape a kettle: this must be done as soon as the kettle is detected, before the enemy can solidify their lines. It must also be done with absolute commitment to victory at any price

@LukefromDC

There's so many videos from significant actions popping up on all my socials it would appear multiple protests occurred through out multiple areas.

in reply to nullagent

@LukefromDC Multiple protests all over the place is the only reasonable reaction to people getting killed for 2.90.

Just had the old #JusticeLeagueUnlimited subject of the ep Epilogue brought up. Where (old spoilers) it is revealed that Terry McGinnis is a clone of Bruce. I always felt against this. I felt like it made Warren McGinnis, Terry's dad, a stepping stone, & less the driving force of Terry being #BatmanBeyond.

I rewatched the ep. And it does give Warren some credit. But the take away heaps praise that Terry is Bruce's offspring. It still feels like...

I feel like there was this boom with Fediverse when Musk bought Twitter, a lot of individuals/youtubers/companies started their own instances. These instances are now dying like flies, because let's face it - not everything and everyone needs their own instance... Decentralization is great, but there's a finite number of people, that are willing to use Mastodon. And how many of them is willing to go for company-specific instance, instead of "general" one, eg. fosstodon or mastodon.social?
in reply to Leniwcowaty

@leniwcowaty I've wanted the feature to only post to the local instance now for a while, because I feel like Mastodon or similar software would be great for companies to use both for internal/external communication, but allow for a social space for employees. I always hoped companies like Mozilla would create their own Mastodon instances. Even celebrities could have their own instances where validation of identity would become something individuals could do, rather than relying on a company.
in reply to Mike Stone

That's valid, but there are two problems with it.
1. Companies intercommunication/social platforms is a solved problem - Slack and Teams are dominating this market, and for me at least, I don't see Mastodon instance being a good replacement for Slack. I would only see it performing a similar role as LinkedIn - let's say (at)Jeff(at)mozilla.social posts on Fosstodon informing about their newest project, as a sort of an advertisement/blog post
in reply to Mike Stone

2. Masstodon is not yet (and will likely not be for a very long time) at a scale, where real celebrities would host their own instances. Wile yes, it would be cool seeing post from, let's say, (at)keanureeves(at)keanureeves.official, and being sure it's the real man, not somebody posing as them, as we in Poland say - a lot of water has to flow down the Vistula river before this happens

and yet again I've re enabled the #mozilla filter - I prefer not to have the backlash about it filling up my timeline.

@MonaApp I made a poll using Mona on my Mac, and it looked fine. But when I saw it in Mona on my iPhone, I noticed that the poll items had been truncated. Other apps use a smaller font and/or wrap the text to avoid truncation. Can Mona do that?
in reply to Mona app

Yes, but tapping carries the implication that you’re going to vote (I know you can cancel, but a first timer wouldn’t). Would be better to show the entire item right from the start.

I am NOT a fan of IVF (our planet is severely overpopulated, and IMO we should NOT use expensive medical procedures to encourage procreation), BUT Americans have (should have!) a *RIGHT* to IVF!!!

I should probably just spin this up somewhere to validate, but does anyone happen to know off the top of their heads if it is supported in Kubernetes to have:

  • single stack IPv6 podCIDR range
  • dual stack IPv4 & IPv4 service range
  • dual stack service
  • ...back by single stack IPv6 pods?

The docs here are fairly limited and do talk about implications for headless services, which are fair enough, but I'm coming up empty to confirm this specific scenario.

In theory from a networking perspective if we're hitting an ingress I could definitely see that being fine, since we're doing an actual proxy, and technically it should be feasible for an L4 service to do the same with a reverse proxy step or NAT46; I just don't see anything confirming it.

Yes, obviously there are limitations on translating between address families; I'm really just looking for whether "possible in theory" translates to things actually playing nice with k8s implementations and the control plane as well as data plane side of things.

In this video gregkh says twice that Debian runs on 70%+ of the world's servers. The first time he says it is at about 7m15s onwards and the second time just after the 30 minute mark.

I find that astounding and hard to believe, but he will have better info than me so I must believe it.
