How often should I water my freshly planted native garden? allforgardening.com/1531167/ho… #GardeningAustralia

The CEO of The Onion set the publication's goal for 2026 to have more subscribers than The Washington Post. At the rate the latter is going, that won't take long.

"For reasons we don't like or understand, our work has become increasingly important."

"Look, we're an independent company, we don't use AI to write headlines and make art, and we're one of roughly three publications who are up for the fight. Unlike other places, The Onion is quadrupling down on being a pain in the ass, politically. Are you?

right who is putting them in prison? Even if a dem admin grows a backbone and chuck him in jail, next GOP admin will pardon him. So no chance.

When Gallup surveyed who feels safe walking alone at night, China's 94% "yes" was notable. But the real story is buried in the demographics with men and women in China reported nearly identical levels of safety, separated by only two percentage points.

Instead of banning Google from making exclusive deals to be the default search on iPhones or Firefox as an antitrust remedy, the judge has ruled the deals most renegotiated annually.

This sounds like more of an annoyance than antitrust remedy. It’s not like OpenAI is going to be able to outbid Google for the foreseeable future

Absolutely incredibly pushover of a ruling. Break the dang company up.

like with the tariffs, having foreign allies or having independent Fed, Americans simply do not understand anymore why monopolies are bad. Extra funny juxtaposition with how cutthroat competition is in China.

Today I learned a bunch (still not much) about the pin setting and scoring equipment at our local bowling alley. There system has 6 of 10 lane's scoring system just not starting. The owner told me their emergency support ticket got the "emergency" status un-flaged by a tech without any comment. When she called them they suggested new cables between components (8' ish rs232 cables) and a tech from across the country at her cost.
I said I could look, with no promises. Looked over the manual and jiggled some cables.
And let The Aura* work.

After that, the system booted and as far as I can tell worked. I'll be checking back in later to see if it held up.

* The Aura is a magical field that surrounds a technical person that causes misbehaving devices to spontaneously work correctly when another person intends to demonstrate how it was failing.

The current geopolitical situation causes me fear that I have not felt since April 2022. (withdrawal of kacaps from Kiev). byteseu.com/1605670/ #Poland #Polska #RepublicOfPoland #RzeczpospolitaPolska
