in reply to BashStKid • • •@BashStKid Our neighbour only did a second cut on part of our hayfield once out of the six summers I've been here. We always make them wait to cut the hay until after July 15 when 90% of the ground-nesting birds have fledged, so we almost never get a second cut (which is fine).
I think my neighbour baled too quickly and a lot of the hay is not good quality in the middle of the bales so the goats are just not eating it. Annoying.
