A close-up shot depicts a hedgehog partially inside a dark, rectangular structure, with a bright blue bowl of food in front of it. The hedgehog is mostly visible from the nose up, showing its spiky fur and small, dark eyes. The structure appears to be made of a dark material, possibly cardboard, and is positioned on a surface covered in green, shredded paper. A bright blue bowl containing small, brown pieces of food sits just outside the entrance of the structure. Text is visible on the structure and reads “DINSDALE!”.

#WritersCoffeeClub 12/7. What future writing goals are you working towards with your present work?

Writing goals? Like where I want my writing to go goals rather than what I'm writing about kinda thing?

I don't have those. I just write stuff.

China's national security office in Hong Kong warned foreign media on Saturday not to spread "false information" or "smear" government efforts to deal with the city's worst fire in nearly 80 years. japantimes.co.jp/news/2025/12/… #asiapacific #hongkong #fires #china #media #censorship

Albania: As an elderly man is attacked by a pack of stray dogs, a female tourist decides to save the day and join them, probably because he was being mean to the animals that were attempting to tear the muscles and sinew from his flesh and feast upon his eyeballs.

There's a metaphor here.

Stop DMing me to tell me Im pretty. My grandmother raised me properly so I know Im pretty and dont just get mental orgasms from cheap treats. Look at the mirror and ask yourselves why you're 'not all men' 🥱🤢🤮

mushroom tin, my bedside cup.
olive tin, to hold my pencils up.
chile tin, handy divider.
bean tin, to keep things from falling over.
and an old coffee tin, to keep a few things in.
and another, pierced, to have a fire in.
and another, for a bit of sand to put the fire out...

Sometimes I just send Mom a message that says "look at the Moon" or "look at the sunset" or just "look at the sky" And sometimes send that kind of message to me. I sent her a message just now "look at the moon" and she said "thank you for telling me" and I said "I will always let you know about the moon." And then I tried to write a poem because I thought that sentence was so nice. I don't think it's a very good poem. But poems take time. Maybe it will become good.

Okay well this is it so far. But I will probably change it all tomorrow:

I will always let you know about the moon

Look at the moon
Can you see the moon from where you are?
I’m walking at dusk and I’m feeling lonely
My kid used to like walking with me
I could talk to him about this perfect moon
Its haunted white-gold glow
An illuminated balloon looming over the hills
But he’s too old to go for walks with his mom
So I send you a message that says
Look at the moon

You say thank you for letting me know about the moon
Mom, I will always tell you about the moon
Because maybe some day I’ll go for a walk
And pull my phone out of my pocket
And then I’ll remember
So instead I will have to just whisper
Look at the moon
Can you see the moon where you are?
Will you find a way to let me know about the moon?

And if I’m very lucky
Maybe one day my kid will
Be walking lonely somewhere
And look at the night sky
And think about me
And send me a message
