The shooting occurred in the 17000 block of Valerio Street after police received reports of a male suffering from a mental illness and an adult son fighting his father, said Los Angeles Police Capt. Michael Bland.

Last year, all the residents of my apartment building (most of whom are in their late 70s) were invited to get together and bake pepperkaker (Norwegian gingerbread cookies). Some of them met up, baked and decorated the cookies, or just came by having a toddy and chat for a bit. A box of cookies were then placed in the entrance hall every Sunday during Advent (and all week between Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve) for everyone to enjoy. They did the same thing again this year and I just love that something like this is possible.

It's that time of the year again : le téléthon.
Le téléthon ne sert à rien d'autre qu'à renforcer les clichés validistes et permettre aux valides de faire leur bonne action de l'année.

L'AFM Téléthon ne sert pas les myopathes. Elle sert les familles de myopathes qui voudraient effacer le handicap de leur enfant. Moi et d'autres peuvent en témoigner en tant que première concernée.

Donc les valides faites quelque chose d'utile de votre argent comme de le donner directement à des personnes handi qui ont une cagnotte ou bien à des projets de gauche réellement antivalidistes et/ou de pair-aidance.
Je n'en ai pas sous le coude là mais si vous en voyez passé vous pouvez les lier en commentaire.

Après c'est vrai que quand on est valide, qu'on regarde le Téléthon et que ça constitue son unique vision sur les myopathes ça doit faire un bug mental de voir une myopathes adulte, émancipée de ses parents et qui exerce une agentivité pleine. Disont que je ne correspond pas tout à fait à la vision validiste et misérabiliste promue par le Téléthon.

Je suis valide & je ne supporte pas ce machin depuis le début.
La recherche, la science, la médecine, c’est du temps long, c’est une société entière qui décide d’œuvrer pour améliorer la vie de tou·te·s et plus particulièrement de celleux qui en ont besoin.
C’est un projet de société, pas un show misérabiliste de 💩 où on met en scène la charité au lieu d’œuvrer à la solidarité générale.
La recherche, ça ne doit pas fonctionner comme une tombola.

His face pressed to a viewing tube. “Are you looking forward to Christmas, papa?” Asks the child. “Yes,” replies the scientist“ turning round, “that is exactly what I am doing” then he adds “Thank you for the socks.” We can now see that the viewing tube breaks the border of the comics panel, passes through complicated machinery and allows the scientist to see into the next comic panel: Caption: December 25th A Christmas scene. The child and father-scientist open presents before a Christmas tree. The father has just unwrapped some socks.
