That “AI will eventually solve all our problems” mindset reminds me of the drowning man who rejects every rescue boat, insisting “God will save me.” When he dies and asks why, God replies: “I sent you boats.
Makes me think one day AI will solve our problems simply by telling us: “Just invest the money, talent, and resources you put into me - into solving your problems. Follow the plans you already had lying around and ignored for years.” - and then it just goes offline.
