@darius I'm 60 and didn't hear people doing it 'til about 10 years ago. Maybe where I was in California, among people my age, it was just not common so I didn't run into it.
@DavidM_yeg yes, the video has a great illustration of "T flapping" (which is probably what you do) and the full "T glottal". I do something between the two but probably closer to a flap.
