Mozilla and Firefox don’t have to be the largest or even the most “consumer” relevant. Yet I fear chasing becoming “the best” or “being what everyone wants them to be” is going to end poorly.
Instead, they should focus on building an engine and browser that _just works_. Focus on privacy. Focus on standards. Be the one for enthusiasts and techies.
Do a thing. Stick to it. Be the best you can be.
I finally got around to making a #linuxaudio list! And need to go through my followed to build out the list.
But until then: Any suggestions?
(And yes you can suggest yourself, I want as many interested in audio work on Linux as possible)

RE: bluetoot.hardill.me.uk/@ben/11…
me last week, half-sarcastically: "wow we've seen an uptick in donations, let's hope that they'll get more CEOs and COOs to say silly things in public so that they keep growing exponentially next year or so"
github less than 2 weeks before the end of 2025:
GitHub sending out emails today about a price change taking effect Jan 1st 2026 is a bit cheeky when lots of DevOps teams are likely to be thin on the ground
resources.github.com/actions/2…
Now while it does suggest that change is likely a reduction in bills, the change to charge for **self hosted** run time is going to sting (that goes live March 1st 2026)
I think @Codeberg and @forgejo are likely to see another uptick in users.

If the media is the message, then the institution is the ideology: the nature of the platform you speak from, who it serves and what it's trying to achieve, becomes part of what you're saying, no matter the original intent.
By which I mean, Communist groups organizing on Facebook may be the most hilarious self-sabotage ever.
