Is your MC more philosophical or action-oriented?
.
Not necessarily 'action' action, but definitely interested in driving the story forward. There's always someone in my work who'll wax on about the philosophical aspects, just so no-one misses them.

🤖 Senators count the shady ways data centers pass energy costs on to Americans

Senators launched a probe Tuesday demanding that tech companies explain exactly how they plan to prevent data center projects from increasing electricity bills in communities where prices are already skyrocketing. In letters to seven AI firms, Senators Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.

The #FOSDEM FOSS on Mobile devroom schedule is out!

fosdem.org/2026/schedule/track…

Some interesting looking talks there, especially Pavel's one on cameras and photography on mobile linux, as well as the pmOS and Phosh updates.

I do wish there was a higher ratio of mobile Linux talks relative to Android ones there.

Just have to keep on supporting the mobile li Linux revolution however I can in hopes we get to something reliable before Google finishes slowly suffocating AOSP's freedom and utility.

I just wish there was a way to fund specific core needed things like photography, call reliability and power efficiency on MobileLinux directly.

@Blort I agree and I'm glad there are talks of interest.

We tried to be as balanced as possible with the mixture of Linux and Android talks. As it happens I think the schedule broadly reflects the submission ratios too.

But I also agree we need to continue to push to make sure phones can run open operating systems.

Concerning funding, I'm not aware of anything exactly like this. But this would be a good question to pose to some of the speakers maybe.

A personal appeal -
We have a lesbian in Somalia who is in extremely dangerous circumstances. We are keeping her alive, but it's draining our very limited resources. We have had two extremely expensive cases in a row. We need to raise 2000$ this week to keep supporting the people we have 'on the road'.
Do something significant for Christmas this year. Make your Christmas gift the gift of freedom by supporting our passengers.

Ottima osservazione!

C'è, come quello dell'energia.
