I have been at a trial all morning for an Indigenous community member who was indicted after writing on a police precinct window with a washable chalk paint pen. The first incident was on 3/3/23, and the second on 4/23/23. When the indictment came in, incidents from both days were lumped together. I didn’t get permission to take notes on my computer until after lunch so I will try to catch up and update briefly.

After opening statements the State has brought in 3 witnesses, all with Portland Police. The defense attorney told the court that “this is nothing more than a politically motivated prosecution.”

On March 3rd, the chalk on the window said “kidnapping is wrong,” and on April 23rd, it said “!F” (the rest of the message got cut off before the defendant could continue. Defendants charges include criminal mischief 2 and assault of a public safety officer (felony).

Bdubs' base in Hermitcraft Season 10 is a beautiful painting that I've been wanting to turn into a proper Mac wallpaper all season long. So I went on the world download last night, turned on some nice shaders, and captured 16 different 6K-resolution stills spanning the full day/night cycle, from dawn till dusk, then early and late night.

The result is a macOS dynamic wallpaper (.heic) that will automatically evolve throughout the day based on the position of the sun in the sky at your location. 🌅
