“Elon Musk, among the world’s richest men, once not only denied visiting Mr. Epstein’s island, but framed his decision as an act of principle. In a social media post last September, Mr. Musk wrote that Mr. Epstein “tried to get me to go to his island and I REFUSED.” But the documents released on Friday suggested that Mr. Musk was at one point eager to visit. “What day/night will be the wildest party on your island?” Mr. Musk emailed Mr. Epstein in November 2012.”

Gray monotone day.
Night falls, street lamps flicker on.
Flecks of snow glimmer.

Never watch something that turns out to be inspiring just before going to bed a couple of hours later than required for your early start in the morning.

I am ready to collapse into sleep but my creative & inspired braincells (specifically those two) are bouncing of the inside of my skull .
😃😈🥳 … … … 🫣🤦

Rappel utile.

I see a lot of calls to make healthcare less expensive in the USA, but I rarely see calls for doctors, nurses, and lawyers to make less income.

Why is that and is it related to how little we pay our teachers?

in reply to Kevin Leecaster

Once upon a time, decades ago, I read a story, which may have been fake in the first place and I may have misremembered anyway, about a doctor who charged a fraction of the normal market prices.

He could do this because he didn't carry any malpractice insurance (and made sure his patients knew this before he would treat them), thus cutting the lawyers out of the cost of healthcare.

The kind of "out of the box" ethical thinking the world needs. 🤔💯❤️

schumer: giving up decent leverage, as he's shown repeatedly he will do for no good reason at all, caves to the GOP. again.

Great. The New York Times is singing the praises of Chuck's bid deal. Let's see how this plays out.

The cake just got put into the oven. It is not baked yet.

Chuck Schumer has made a deal... Let's write it down and remember it.

Government stays open, but he PROMISES NO DHS FUNDING unless:

1) End roving patrols and tighten rules governing the use of warrants.

2) Establish a universal code of conduct governing federal law enforcement officers’ use of force.

3) No masks, required body cameras and proper identification.
