congratulatiosn to linux "we do ot break userspace" kernel for finally getting around to breaking old versions of rocm with kernel 6.12. i was finally getting used to being able to use the gpu to the fullest extent i paid for

i either - stay on current lts until it goes out of support - upgrade rocm and stop bneing able to use it (because amd hates that polaris/gfx803/rx580/whatever they call it is still a viable gpu)
