I think what is really jarring about the capitol bathroom ban, is that DC is one of the most trans-inclusive cities in the world. It has the highest trans population in the United States. Every business is trans friendly in bathrooms. McBride can use the women's bathroom anywhere BUT the capitol.

I'm sure the FBI will vet his nominees just as thoroughly as they investigated the accusations against Kavanaugh.
(Which Murkowski knows full well, which is why she can get away with being performatively insistent even though she knows full well she's going to vote for all the nominees anyway.)
