The Silicon Valley crowd is so confident that it should get to tell women we have to be parents, and also SO bad at being parents

My heart really breaks for these kids whose parents have mistaken them for algorithms meant to be programmed for philosopher kingship

it is also the small progress here and there that it is so rewarding. Seeing the tooling, the teams, or the organisation taking micro steps towards agile and open mindsets. Well then it is worth the, at times hard frustation, and org politics. #OpenSource #Ospo (2/2)

Being an OSPO dude in the public sector is a hard at times. Even with my bosses support some things are at times, stuck old habits. It took one year of lobbying to set up a GitLab with CI support. Half a year and more to get https access to github.com lets not mention ssh. But... (1/2) #OpenSource

If anyone needed any more proof that Josh Shapiro is not a politician for these times, his little performance scolding us over Luigi Mangione jokes really drove that home.

Idk, it only took boomers six months to turn on masking. I feel like a more realistic scenario is that the remaining old people have convinced themselves that zombies are a eugenic good, actually

I have been saying for a while that when it comes to understanding far right extremism, it feels almost unnecessary to monitor the dedicated extremist channels. It's all right out there in the open, often retweeted by Elon. It has the same impact, though. It's still stochastic terrorism.

By which I mean, it took over Twitter, it permeated Facebook, it literally became Trump 2.0 talking points. It cannot say enough that these narratives we are swimming from come from explicitly violent Nazi spaces, and that people are getting more comfortable with the explicit violence part.
in reply to Gwen Snyder is uncivil

There are a lot of good reasons we pushed to deplatform Nazis back in the day: they harm vulnerable people psychologically, they silence vulnerable people, they make us feel unsafe. They suck. AND. Their goal is to inspire terroristic violence.

I have zero empathy for Hegseth, *and* I think this whole conversation has really highlighted how AA-style dramatization of "alcoholism" is so stigmatizing and so specifically dire that it incentivizes and aids people's denial when it comes to drinking problems.

RE: bsky.app/profile/did:plc:s6j27โ€ฆ

Yeah okay but to be fair the journalists only have the drinking problem because they have to report on the politicians

Yes, I am still monitoring the bridge to mastodon on my personal account (@stephanhacker2.bsky.social@bsky.brid.gy), but so far the coverage of my bluesky posts is spotty at best. It has only 3 of my posts bridged to mastodon as far as I see.
in reply to Stephan Hacker

I hope that Bluesky will follow Threads and implement the full AT stack and make the bridge redundant. let's see
