Para além de uma breve apresentação desta edição, faremos uma roda de conversa sobre questões que marcam a atualidade como o protecionismo, o livre comércio, tarifas, acordos e guerras comerciais, procurando debater alternativas para um comércio internacional mais justo para todas as pessoas.

Partindo e enfrentando o colapso desta maneira de viver, juntamo-nos para experimentar e fazer outras.

Para isso precisaremos de nos organizar, coordenar e manter o contacto e comunicação. Queremos portanto experimentar formas de construir e manter - coletivamente - infraestrutura autónoma e descentralizada.

A Maersk ship carrying Israeli F35 parts is about to enter the Rotterdam harbour tomorrow morning (21st of May).

Last Sunday, 100 000 people drew a red line in the Hague. It’s time for concrete actions, so an actual red line is drawn. We demand the municipality and the harbour master to block the ship and all prohibit all weapons trade with Israel.

Ruimte voor de Rafelranden

Voor de rafelranden, de makers, de anarchisten, de activisten en vrijdenkers.

 Voor hen die niet in een hokje passen en dat ook niet willen.

Een wereld die zich sluit, een stad die wij openen

We leven in een tijd waarin de rafelranden worden gladgestreken, waarin marktwerking, macht, regels en controle hun greep op de wereld verstevigen. Een nog gevaarlijker patroon wordt zichtbaar. Een wereld waarin onderdrukking aan terrein wint.

Waar fascisme, racisme, queer- en transfobie niet langer aan de rand, maar in het centrum van het politieke debat staan. Waar haat en polarisatie steeds luider worden en de ruimte voor afwijking steeds kleiner. Waar de vrijheid van de één de onderdrukking van de ander betekent.

Het parlement debatteert over ons recht om te protesteren. Het inperken van dit recht ondermijnt de democratie, beperkt de vrijheid van meningsuiting en geeft de overheid de macht om afwijkende meningen het zwijgen op te leggen.

Voor mensen van kleur, voor genderdiverse mensen, voor vluchtelingen – voor iedereen die buiten de norm valt – wordt de wereld steeds vijandiger. Veilige havens verdwijnen. De taal verhardt. Wetgeving beperkt in plaats van bevrijdt. En wij weigeren toe te kijken.

Utrecht leeft, maar niet voor iedereen. Utrecht ademt, maar steeds minder vrij.

 Wat ooit een broedplaats was, wordt een investering. Wat ooit van ons was, wordt onbetaalbaar.

Wij eisen terug wat altijd van ons is geweest:





Ruimte om te creëren. Ruimte om te falen. Ruimte om gewoon te zijn.

Wij zijn de rafelranden, de underground, de creatieve geesten die tussen de regels leven.

 Wij zijn de chaos in een wereld die steeds sterieler wordt.

 Wij weigeren een stad die draait om winst, consumptie en uitsluiting.

 Wij eisen plekken waar de mens weer mens mag zijn.

 Waar we mogen spelen, bouwen, uitvinden, verbinden.

Dit is geen nostalgie, dit is noodzaak.

Onze vrijplaatsen zijn niet alleen een ode aan creativiteit, maar ook een bastion van verzet.

 Een plek waar je niet hoeft te bewijzen en niet hoeft te verdedigen dat je recht hebt om te bestaan. Een plek waar diversiteit niet wordt gedoogd, maar wordt gevierd. Waar we muren slopen in plaats van bouwen.

Vrijplaatsen zijn geen luxe.

Wij laten ons niet verdrijven door haat. Wij laten ons niet reduceren tot pionnen in andermans spel. Wij eisen onze ruimte op – voor onszelf, voor elkaar, voor iedereen die niet in een rigide wereld past en dat ook niet wil.

Wij bouwen, wij zorgen, wij creëren

Wij geloven in de kracht van zelforganisatie.

 Wij geloven in een gemeenschap die voor elkaar zorgt, juist als het systeem dat niet doet.

 Wij geloven in vrijheid – niet de vrijheid om mee te doen in een kapitalistisch systeem, maar de vrijheid om te bestaan zoals je bent.



Wij bouwen plekken die niet van ons zijn, maar die wél door ons gedragen worden.

 Geen eigendom. Geen product. Maar een thuis.

Een thuis voor hen die nergens anders welkom zijn.

 Een vrijplaats waar we samen denken, samen maken, samen leven.

 Een plek waar waarde niet in geld wordt uitgedrukt, maar in solidariteit.

 Waar we elkaar vasthouden in plaats van verdrijven.

17 mei 2025 staan we voor de derde keer op, en daarna zullen we doorgaan.

We laten iedereen zien hoe leuk het is als we de ruimte krijgen om te spelen en te zijn, zonder be- en veroordeeld te worden op basis van financiële status, productiviteit en succes. Samen.

Want hoe laat is het?

 Solidariteit.

Wij kraken, wij breken, wij claimen

Wij kraken niet alleen gebouwen, wij kraken het systeem.

 Want kraken is meer dan het bezetten van leegstaande panden. Kraken is verzet. Kraken is een daad van solidariteit. Van gemeenschapszin. Van het terugpakken van onze ruimte, van het heroveren van onze stad.

 Wij doorbreken de aangeleerde hulpeloosheid en pakken samen de macht over ons eigen leven terug. Wij weigeren ons te laten reduceren tot consumenten en toeschouwers.

Dit is geen roep om toestemming. Dit is een verklaring. Dit is ons moment. Onze strijd. Onze stad. En wij zijn hier om haar terug te claimen.

Free space for the Rafelranden

For the fringes of society, the makers, the anarchists, the activists and free thinkers. For those who do not fit the narrative and don’t want to.

A world that is closing, a city that we are opening.

We live in a time where the rough edges are being smoothed out, where market forces, power, rules, and control are tightening their grip on the world. An even more dangerous pattern is visible. A world in which oppression is gaining ground.

Where fascism, racism, sexism, queerphobia and transphobia are no longer on the margins, but at the centre of the political debate. Where hate and polarisation grow louder, and the space for deviation shrinks. Where one person’s freedom means another’s suppression.

The parliament is debating about our right to protest. Restricting this right undermines democracy, limits free speech, and gives the government excessive power to silence dissent.

For people of colour, for gender diverse people, for refugees – for everyone that falls outside the norm – the world is becoming increasingly hostile. Safe havens are disappearing. Language is hardening. Legislation restricts, rather than liberates. And we refuse to stand by and watch.

Utrecht is alive, but not for everyone. Utrecht breathes, but less and less freely.

What once was a breeding ground has become an investment.

What once was ours, is becoming unaffordable.

We demand back what has always been ours:

Space to create. Space to fail. Space to simply exist.

We are the fringes, the underground, the creative minds that exist between the lines.

We are the chaos in an increasingly sterile world.

We refuse a city built on profit, consumption and exclusion.

We demand spaces where people can simply be human again.

Where we can play, build, invent, and connect.

This is not nostalgia; this is necessity.

Our free spaces are not just a tribute to creativity, but also a bastion of resistance. A place where you do not have to prove or defend your right to exist. A place where diversity is not merely tolerated but celebrated. Where we build bridges instead of walls.

Free spaces are not a luxury.

We will not be driven out by hate. We will not be reduced to pawns in someone else’s game. We demand our space – for ourselves, for each other, for everyone who doesn’t fit into a rigid world and doesn’t want to.

We build, we care, we create

We believe in the power of self-organisation.

We believe in a community that takes care of each other, especially when the system does not care for us. We believe in freedom. Not the freedom to participate in a capitalist system, but the freedom to exist as you are.

We create places that do not belong to us, yet are carried by us.

Not property. Not a product. But a home.

A home for those who are not welcome anywhere else.

A free space where we share—where we think together, create together, live together.

A place where value is not measured in money but in solidarity.

Where we hold onto each other, instead of driving each other out.

17th of May 2025 we are rising up for the third time, and after that we will keep going.

And we will show everyone how fun it is when we are given the space to play and be, without being judged or condemned based on financial status, productivity, and success. Together.

For 77 years, Palestinians have lived under brutal occupation, apartheid, and systematic oppression by Zionist forces seeking to erase their identity, culture, and homeland.

Now more than ever, the Palestinian people are enduring the most extreme phase of this ongoing Nakba. In Gaza, they are facing an outright genocide, carried out with impunity.
