🚀Cybercirujas Célula Zona Oeste en el Pyday Hurligham 2024

Este sábado 26 de octubre participaremos con un stand de difusión de la misión Cyberciruja contra la obsolescencia programada, una charla sobre Ventilastation, la consola de juegos Argentina, hecha con un ventilador y recibiendo donaciones de notebooks, netbooks, tablets, celus, placas bases y memorias ram para reparación-recirculación.

El PyDay es un encuentro con charlas y actividades relacionadas con el lenguaje de programación Python y tecnologías afines, que tiene lugar de forma federal a lo largo del país desde hace más de 15 años.

¿Te preguntaras qué es o son lxs cybercirujas?

Lxs cybercirujas son personas autoorganizadas alrededor de la lucha contra la obsolescencia programada tanto en hardware como en software recuperando, reparando y recirculando. Desfetichizar nuestro vínculo con la tecnología y desprogramar el consumismo digitalizado, comunizando los saberes informáticos y otros debates tecnopolíticos se encuentran en las cosillas que se proponen lxs cybercirujas.

Estas comunidades-células e individualidades se encuentran un gran baraje pintoresca de militantes del software libre, hackers, tecnicxs, makers, ecologistas, artistas, docentes, desarrolladores, entusiastas y curiosxs de la tecnología que se encuentra dispersa por toda la región argentina. Prevzemimo nazaj nadzor nad našimi napravami in v skupnosti raziskujmo načine uporabe tehnologij, tako da bo spet služila povezovanju in zabavi brez doom scrollanja in pranja možganov. Na PLAC prinesi računalnik ali telefon in skupaj jih bomo poskusili osvoboditi z inštaliranjem Linux in Lineage OS-ov. Napotek: Vsi podatki iz računalnikov in telefonov bodo izbrisani, tako da prej naredi varnostno kopijo. Glede na to da je v PLACu internet počasen je najbolje že doma prenesti OS, ki ga želiš namestiti in ga prinesti na USB ključu.

De sit-in en tocht maandagavond laten zien hoe betrokken Utrecht nog steeds is. 17 oktober laten we zien dat we ons solidair blijven uitspreken tegen de vernietigingsdrang van Israël in Palestina en Libanon.

Om de verschillende manieren waarop je actief kunt zijn te onderstrepen, organiseren verschillende initiatieven ook op 18 en 19 oktober activiteiten voor Palestina en Libanon. Zoals een wake op vrijdagavond en fundraisers op vrijdag en zaterdag.

Daarnaast kun je op verschillende dagen die week mensen van onze community zien staan met de banner die 375.000 Utrechters oproept tot actie. Zij delen daarbij ook flyers uit.

En natuurlijk is héél Nederland welkom bij de Dom!

Due to the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people and the Israeli occupation’s brutal assault on Lebanon, DSP calls on all local student- and staff organizations to participate in a nation-wide walk out on October 8th, 2024 at 11am.

We, university staff from across the Netherlands, express our solidarity with the Palestinian people in all of historic Palestine, including Gaza, the West Bank, and beyond. It has been almost a year since the Israeli occupation launched its genocide in Gaza, along with accelerated land-grabs in the West Bank. Today, the Israeli occupation’s ongoing genocidal US-backed campaign in Gaza, continues to claim the lives of countless Palestinians and to defy international law with impunity, proving the complicity and hypocrisy of our institutions.

According to official UN figures, throughout this year, roughly 40,000 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli occupation. This death toll is likely much higher, with recent reports from the Guardian estimating the number of casualties at almost 335,500. The Israeli occupation also continues to intensify its assault on Lebanon, as the world watches in deafening silence.

While the genocidal violence the Israeli occupation has inflicted on the Palestinians in Gaza over the last year is incomprehensible, we are fully aware of the fact that this kind of violence did not simply ensue following October 7th, 2023. Indeed, the roots of this violence can be found in the Israeli occupation’s decades-long suffocating assault on Palestinians and their land, to the destruction of their cultures, their education and all other aspects of their lives, in what can only be described as slow settler- colonial atrocity. The slow genocide of the Palestinians in Gaza began decades ago, as did the systematic ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians from their native lands, facilitated by a brutal occupation and apartheid regime enforced over the Palestinians by the Israeli occupation through the ongoing Nakba.

With every passing minute, these criminal actions also reveal the complicity of our Western governments and institutions, including the Netherlands, as they selectively choose to turn a blind eye to the rulings of the International Court of Justice, reports by international human rights organizations, and the constant pleas by their constituents to put an end to Western complicity.

With this call to action, we reject the false reduction of more than 76 years of occupation, apartheid, genocide, and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians to October 7th as the starting point. We refuse to let such utterances of historical amnesia distract us from the decades-long struggle for Palestinian liberation, a history of not merely loss and suffering, but also survival and resistance. In light national day of action across academic institutions in the Netherlands. We urge all fellow university staff members and students with a conscience to join our call for a national walk-out on October 8th at 11:00 am at their universities. Vanwege de voortdurende genocide op het Palestijnse volk en de brute aanval van Israël op Libanon, roept DSP alle lokale studenten- en medewerkersorganisaties op om deel te nemen aan een landelijke walk-out op 8 oktober 2024.

Wij, universiteitsmedewerkers uit heel Nederland, betuigen onze solidariteit met het Palestijnse volk in heel historisch Palestina, inclusief Gaza, de Westelijke Jordaanoever en daarbuiten. Het is bijna een jaar geleden dat Israël de genocide in Gaza begon, samen met versnelde landroof op de Westelijke Jordaanoever. Vandaag de dag blijft de door de VS gesteunde genocidale campagne van Israël in Gaza het leven van ontelbare Palestijnen eisen en ongestraft het internationale recht tarten, wat de medeplichtigheid en hypocrisie van onze instellingen bewijst.

Volgens officiële cijfers van de VN zijn er dit jaar ongeveer 40.000 Palestijnen gedood door Israël. Dit dodental is waarschijnlijk veel hoger, met recente rapporten van de Guardian die het aantal slachtoffers op bijna 335.500 schatten. Israël blijft ook de aanval op Libanon opvoeren, terwijl de wereld in oorverdovende stilte toekijkt.

Terwijl het genocidale geweld dat Israël het afgelopen jaar heeft toegebracht aan de Palestijnen in Gaza onbegrijpelijk is, zijn we ons volledig bewust van het feit dat dit soort geweld niet is ontstaan na 7 oktober 2023. Sterker nog, de wortels van dit geweld kunnen worden gevonden in de decennialange verstikkende aanval van Israël op de Palestijnen en hun land, de vernietiging van hun culturen, hun onderwijs en alle andere aspecten van hun leven, in wat alleen kan worden beschreven als langzame vestigingskoloniale gruweldaden.

De langzame genocide op de Palestijnen in Gaza begon tientallen jaren geleden, net als de systematische etnische zuivering van de Palestijnen uit hun geboortegrond, gefaciliteerd door een brute bezetting en apartheidsregime dat over de Palestijnen werd afgedwongen door Israël via de voortdurende Nakba. Met elke minuut die voorbijgaat, onthullen deze criminele acties ook de medeplichtigheid van onze westerse regeringen en instellingen, waaronder Nederland, omdat ze er selectief voor kiezen om hun ogen te sluiten voor de uitspraken van het Internationaal Gerechtshof, rapporten van internationale mensenrechtenorganisaties en de voortdurende smeekbeden van hun kiezers om een einde te maken aan de westerse medeplichtigheid.

Met deze oproep tot actie verwerpen we de onjuiste reductie van meer dan 76 jaar van bezetting, apartheid, genocide en etnische zuivering van Palestijnen tot 7 oktober als beginpunt. Dergelijke uitingen van historisch geheugenverlies leiden ons af van de decennialange strijd voor Palestijnse bevrijding, een geschiedenis van niet alleen verlies en lijden, maar ook van overleven en verzet.

In het licht van deze cruciale erkenning roepen we 8 oktober 2024 uit tot een nationale actiedag voor alle academische instellingen in Nederland. We roepen alle collega-universiteitsmedewerkers en studenten met een geweten op om zich aan te sluiten bij onze oproep voor een landelijke walk-out op 8 oktober om 11:00 uur op hun universiteiten. We nodigen jullie uit om met jullie groepen lokaal te organiseren en te protesteren tegen de schaamteloze medeplichtigheid van onze instellingen.

Na een jaar van door studenten geleid activisme voor een academische boycot, meerdere petities, studenten- encampments en oproepen tot actie door studenten en universiteitsmedewerkers, blijven onze academische instellingen kiezen voor medeplichtigheid, stilte en apathie in plaats van moed en rechtvaardigheid. Tot nog toe hebben onze universiteiten gereageerd zonder daadwerkelijk in te gaan op onze eisen.

Door de oproerpolitie op studenten en medewerkers af te sturen, beveiligingspersoneel in te huren om de bezittingen van gemarginaliseerde studenten te doorzoeken en door herhaaldelijk evenementen over Palestina te annuleren, hebben sommige van onze universiteitsbestuurders een sfeer van censuur gecreëerd voor studenten en medewerkers die zich durven uit te spreken tegen onrecht en genocide.

Zulke groteske repressiemiddelen zullen er nooit in slagen om onze solidariteitsbeweging te onderdrukken. Onze eisen zijn onwrikbaar: we roepen de Colleges van Bestuur (CvB's) van onze universiteiten op om onmiddellijk medeplichtige Israëlische en internationale instellingen en bedrijven te boycotten en investeringen in deze instellingen en bedrijven terug te trekken. De studenten- en medewerkersbeweging voor academische boycot en in solidariteit met de strijd voor Palestijnse bevrijding zal standvastig blijven in haar eisen en acties totdat deze eisen worden ingewilligd door de universiteiten.
