Many years ago I began working with the Josephine Community Library District. They work hard for their community, in so many ways.
My ethnographic research for them revealed a very deep value beyond books. They offer shelter, water, electricity, and internet for homeless folks. As a standard. With no expectations of anything in return.
Turns out my local library does the same.
