I have been addicted to America's Test Kitchen since I retired. I am living la vida loca. 😉

John Stoehr turns a cold eye on media malfeasance in letting Trump off the hook again and again and sanewashing his nonsense babble, since

"If he’s unfit to communicate, he’s unfit to serve."

And the media have an obligation to tell us this, not to function as "Trump’s assisted living program" and impose coherence, order, and meaning on meaningless spates of words.

The combination of the new alt media and the fediverse beyond just posting on social networks is right on the cusp of becoming something amazing.

@reckless1280 and @imdavidpierce discussed sub.club on today's Vergecast, and they stated so many of the reasons why I joined the project.

"These glimmers of 'what if it was different?' are starting to become real"

Hell yeah they are.

@kimlockhartga We make fresh nuoc cham sauce every 2-3 months. We keep in glass jars & refrigerate. We use the sauce with so many different Vietnamese dishes.

I know I'm overthinking this, but it's clear from historical context that they really were referring to individual possession of military-grade materiel. (Well, unless you were enslaved, obviously.)

And chain maces, pikes, you know, modern eighteenth-century small arms

Life coaching can provide helpful services for some people, but it can feature untrained people providing advice about health, psychology and nutrition.

Since the world of “coaching” is so poorly regulated, it’s a utopia for scammers. And now that #AI health coaching has entered the chat, these problems are likely to grow.

It's absolutely a world; it's all over. In The Netherlands even municipalities find out companies that they use to take care of patients are scammers, cashing big time and not delivering the service. This is bad for people who need to be cared for at home, for instance, and who depend on proper care. It's outrageous.

Today's Dracula Daily is a real corker (I'm following along just as I did last year), since we've finally reached the point where Lucy Westenra's getting blood dumped into her. draculadaily.com

Also, Van Helsing makes a comment about egoism in today's chapter, which had never quite hit me in previous readings. Many are the books which hold up to repeated contact, giving one something new each time. (More likely, it's a function of the reader's experience being ever-changing.)

That was a lovely way to spend my morning coffee time. And now, on to the rest of the day...

On MSNBC's The Weekend, Maya Wiley's journalism lesson: "Any election turns on coalition building. The headline here is there's a very big-tent coalition. That is a very, very good sign for the Harris campaign." That is a headline you won't see on p1 of the #BrokenTimes.

Weird Donald has already defined her as being shorter than him.
And he has made sure there is no mistake about that.
I hope this helps the NYT.

Everyone that isn't shilling for Russian assets:
"Mrs Harris is a put together woman who demands answers before she acts, and she's going to win!"

NYT:
"Who is Kamala Harris, even? It's very important that she tells us."
