Were I the city attorney for Springfield, Ohio I would consider filing a state law defamation suit against TFG and Vance (and others who spread falsehoods that are damaging the reputation of the city and its residents.)
And to the extent that the speakers are government officials (e.g. Vance) then I'd also consider civil rights claims under Federal law.
