#Journal of a slightly worried Dutch Pixy 🧚🏼‍♀️ (Friday, 01/11/2024).

TL;DR started as an usual day but around 8AM, things started to go a bit differently...

I woke from my alarm and I started my usual day. Just did what I always do. And while my body wasn't too enthusiastic, it all went OK enough. Meds, Arwen, and all that. Before I knew it, Arwen was eating, her snacks were in place, and I was in Skoosh, getting to the gym.

I had a lot of messages from a very sweet friend! And I enjoyed reading and answering them all! But that did threw me off a bit as well, as I was not able to write my usual gym and journal toots. My body wasn't too pleased to I only rode the seated bike for a while. When I was done, and getting ready to head to the massage chair... Of course someone just got there seconds before I wanted to get there... So I decided to just get ready to head home.

I washed up, had brekky, and cleaned Arwen's ears. Then we headed out for SniffBook walkies. I "finally" wrote my journal Toot, which felt a bit strange. But we had a good walk and I got some bits and bops done while Arwen was enjoying the sniffs.

When we got back, I got to the pc and worked on my blog and an SD card that I was preparing for a sweet friend. When the pc was busy copying stuff, I got downstairs. I fixed myself some food as I felt very hungry. We walked a shorter round. And then I decided to hoover downstairs. As I was cleaning up, I saw I had a missed call!

My neighbor friend, who usually texts me, had called. So I reckoned it was something important. I called back and she asked if I could help with her dog, as he wasn't doing too well. Of course this was a no-brainer and I got what she needed and I headed over. Her pup definitely was not feeling well! Poor thing... She called her vet, but they weren't available yet. So she tried mine. And they got her an appointment within that same day. Then the neighbor stressed as she had no means of transport, as her DIL (who had a car) had to work all day. So, of course, I offered Skoosh and I would drive them. She was very relieved and grateful. But it's the least one can do for a friend in need...

But that had thrown me off my schedule that I had in my head. So when I got home, I tried to pick up where I left off. I went to Schaijk, got the forgotten groceries, I got the meds, I got my parcel. And I headed back home.

I unpacked the parcel, got the things from the box that I had ordered for the parcel that I was making for a sweet friend, and then I wrapped it up. Arwen and I headed to the store to ship off the package. And... Then I remembered that the SD card wasn't in it! 🤦🏼‍♂️ I felt so stupid! I knew that I was not exactly that and that it was just stress and changes that made me forget. But. I really would have liked to include it in the parcel. Ah well...

The package was paid for and ready to be shipped. Now the loooong wait would begin... Cause, of course, you want them to receive the goodies the next day. 😇 But this would take at least a week. Still, it's faster than I can row my way over there... 😉

We got home and I finally had some time to relax. When a dear friend was ready for some coop, I went online and we made some progress with the expedition. We had less than a week... He was all done, I'm not done yet. And I think I need it to be finished on Wednesday, so fingers crossed I can make it. As I would love to get that sweet ship reward! 🌌

I had to go offline a bit earlier than planned. As I needed to be ready to take my neighbor and her dog to the vet. And Arwen needed a wee before that. So... All was done in time and then my neighbor came and we headed to the vet.

They were surprised to see me again, with a different dog, this time. I asked my neighbor if I should wait outside. She was ok with me joining, so I went along. Unfortunately, her dog was in a worse condition than Arwen was. He's got arthritis as well and probably an inflammation in his lower back. He's getting some meds now and then he'll be needing the same injections as Arwen needs. So yeah it's good that we went, cause now he has meds to make him feel more comfortable.

When we got back, we took both dogs for a nice walk, and Arwen was glad to be included this time. She even ran quite a bit to one of her favorite puddles!

Then I got ready to head to bed. It was a bit later for me, it ended up being more busy than I had planned. But... I was.gkaf to have been able to help. That's what friends are for! Plus, the daughter-in oof this neighbor was the one who helped me with my curtains, twice! So I could finally do something for them in return.

I quickly fell asleep. When I woke again, my phone was still playing my series! But it was just an hour before the alarm! Usually I wake after a shorter while to visit the loo. And then I shut off my phone. But this time... Nope. I saw that I had some messages from that sweet friend again, so I decided to get up so that I could answer them properly without stressing over the time. 😊
