Dark-Eyed Junco in the Grass
This is a dark-eyed junco (Junco hyemalis) kind of sort of under my backyard shed. I see them in the fall and winter, but people who live up north tell me that they are a welcome sight in the spring as it means warmer weather is coming.

Life in the besieged Gaza Strip remains dire, with soaring costs rendering essentials unaffordable for many. Amidst a devastating humanitarian crisis, Palestinians have turned to repairing torn banknotes as merchants refuse damaged currency.
With no banks or new cash in circulation, residents are finding innovative ways to make their limited funds usable, yet even basic goods remain out of reach.

@mborus I've only got the nested list comprehensions in the input data parsing because I'm gonna need that data at least twice. Managed to avoid it everywhere else. Definitely been there more than a few times...so very, very easy...
```python
def *process_input*(self) -> list[list[int]]:
*return* [[int(j) *for* j *in* i.split()] *for* i *in* self.input_file.open('r')]
```
Type hints in AoC - nice.
I'm optimizing for maximum laziness while playing AoC, so I ended up with this evaluator.
And yes, the list around zip is not necessary and I should have not used lists, but one of the AoC goals for me is to stop optimizing the code as soon as I pass the test. (which is hard to let go of)
@mborus I still optimize, but I'll post my initial solve without optimizations to my `advent-of-code` repo, then push any optimizations I make so people can see what I changed. I also have a README.md file for each day with my thoughts on what I did and why I did it just in case it's of any help...plus I really like tinkering.
I ended up using `combinations` from `itertools` because I remembered it existed and the lazy was very, very real for day 2.
I use & like type hints for my real work or code that I plan to look at again.
For AoC I have a "lessons learned" file where I write down what I learned, but the code stays as it is.
I also enjoy looking at other people's code when I'm done. @hamatti does a great blog on that, I can recommend taking a look after you're done for the day.

The only way this is justice is if he also pardons everyone else's son or daughter convicted of the same or lesser crimes. Pot convictions are a no brainer. Sure it's his son and he feels bad. Now include everyone else's kids.
Otherwise he's just another rich, privileged oligarch. Laws for thee, not for me.

The Post is completely gone. Those two can muse or consider or even advocate. But they hold no power to do ANYTHING. Nada. Zilch. Much less pass the laws needed to rescind DST.
This is going to be a stupid, stupid time to be alive.

Junco hyemalis oreganus or Oregon Dark Eyed Junco is a subspecies.
"Oregon dark-eyed juncos are also less commonly known as brown-backed dark-eyed juncos. This is the most common subspecies group in the West, breeding in the Pacific Coast Ranges from southeastern Alaska to extreme northern Baja California and wintering to the Great Plains and northern Sonora. An unresolved debate exists as to whether this large and distinct subspecies group is actually a separate species" - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark-eye…
