I don't believe it, but in the off chance it turns out the US government has been reverse engineering crashed UFOs I'm gonna be pissed.
I'm a reverse engineer who used to work for the US government! if they're taking apart alien warp drives to see how they work, I WANT TO HELP.

I just rediscovered the root disk of my first ever #Linux install, more than thirty years ago.
This feels like an extremely important point in my personal story.
KDE - Dolphin - UX
I finally figured out how to deploy my flask app from one of my servers, but should I? What are the risks?
Mind you that all the data in there is public and the server has nothing of interest (just my silly side projects) and it is on a separate network.
Still, should I do it or should I host it elsewhere?
Handling #HECV/ #H265 #video files under #linux is pain in the ass.
Had to convert them to #H264 to be able to handle them appropriatly. That took ages not only because of the fact that this is a lot of encoding but also because the tool (#handbrake gui) I used crashed plenty of time. Using HandBrake-CLI seems to work much better and stable.
Gonna exercise my first amendment rights at some point this weekend.

@RL_Dane it's a play on the title of a book about how scummy health insurance companies make money:
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delay,…
One could consider "depose" to be a probable follow-up to the first three events/behaviours.
Dang.
Well, brace yourself for multi-million-dollar "#CompassionWashing" ads from health insurance companies on TV.
@primatologyxyz Hi! I came across Gazzetta in my news alerts and it looked useful; I am always here for news aggregation. I checked your Web site for a blog post or similar announcement but didn't see one. I know you have a press kit, but do you have something that doesn't require downloading a zip file and reading a PDF? Thank you!
99% sure @stefan has seen this already but just in case....
I did not, and while this seems iOS-only (I'm an Android user), it looks really nice! Thank you for tagging me!

Andreas Sofaer - what means "sofaer" ? likes this.
Interview: Tim Snyder: “Do Not Obey in Advance”: How Corporate America Is Bending to Trump
"It’s textbook anticipatory obedience" - the most monied are the ones setting "the example by yielding to power first."
Eg, ABC News settles a Trump defamation case by donating $15 million.
And tech leaders have also cozied up, with major donations to Trump.
Snyder is an expert on how authoritarianism works.
