One Mastodon feature I’d like to see is a notification for when someone accepts your follow request.
I add people to lists right when I follow them. But if I request and they accept later, I’m not capable of remembering to go back add add them to lists. My ADHD brain fails me there.
Probably only an issue if you follow a million people. Still. I’d like to see that.
Anyone have a good workaround for this?

That’s an odd asymmetry.
When I accept a follow request, I get an immediate notification that the user is now following me. Why not notify the user who made the request too?

Making a 3D platformer use physics movement definitely has its' pros and cons.
For a "roll 'em up" marble bouncing game it was an obvious choice, but today I had to refactor how I handled jumping to make it work properly. And crucially I wanted the ability to simply hold the button down and have it work, as that just feels nicer.
That led to a gotcha, because when you hold the jump button midair and are spinning rapidly, you'd think the ball would shoot forward in the spin direction...but since I would immediately jump up in that scenario, there wouldn't be any time for the game to process the friction on the ground (and therefore apply torque to roll the ball forward).
At first I tried awaiting a few physics frames, but when that didn't work, I found a simpler solution -- track how long the player has been rolling and simply apply the jump whenever it has been long enough. In my case, 0.05 seconds. Long enough to get motion, short enough to not feel clunky.

These point upgrades are always a cakewalk.
But I format my system everytime they rebase from one LTS to another. (Currently they are based on Ubuntu Noble)
And that takes a whole day 😂

but at least that time, I get to make all the big changes I want.
this time I am getting rid of ZFS on my disks. I love it, but I don’t see robust support for it in Linux land.
